I sat at my computer, eyes drifining to the program I'd drawn up from nothing. Someone was tracking my connection, trying to find me, and to find who I was talking to. They were about to get a hit in china and another in london, fools all of them.

Maybe I should start at the beginning. I'm what some would call a metahuman, most would call me a mutant. At the snap of my fingers a small flash of flame will appear where I want it. Some might think this is not much, but it was useful, and enought to catch someones attention. Actually a whole group, a whole division of someones, just my luck. They're called the abnormal and supernatural research and tracking division, ASRTD for short. A division of the government that's black, as in black even for black.

What a mess some would say but oh well, I had them running around the world day and night looking for ghosts, they rely too much on digital traces than their own eyes.

"Whats up Kris, I know its been a while since I last contacted you," I leaned forward so she could see me through the web cam more clearly, "I've been on the move, they're making my life a hell, I'm thinking of taking the fight to th...."

Suddenly my computer was buzzing and flashing warnings, perimeter breaches. I was in an abandoned factory, right in the middle of it. My fingers where a blur, "Crap," I brought up the Camera's, Swat, they'd gotten word out to the locals. And frankly the locals were smart enough to take tips and do a little leg work.

Lights flashed through the windows and I stood up and gave the desk I was doing a good kick, flipping it over just as they smashed in through the windows. I grabbed the gernade taped under the desk and pulled the pin, counting to three to cook it just before I tossed it over. Smoke, fire, screams met from the outcome. And I rose like the reaper, 9mm snapping to and fro, blood flew, people died, I was killer, had been for a while. Soon I was down to my sword as I dashed from cover to cover. But in the end, no matter How good I was, I couldn't stop the dart, shot from a sniper across the street. Blurred vision, murky voices and then dark.

Kris sat on her dining table, a little wooden thing that was hardly stable, with a laptop on her legs. Alex had made contact. It had been so long since the last time, she was worried something may have happened to him. So worried that all the anger she had built up from him not contacting her disappeared the instant he did call her, instead it was replaced with relief.

She watched him bumbling around on the webcam, trying to get it lined up correctly. That made her smile.

"Whats up Kris, I know its been a while since I last contacted you" he said.

"Damn bloody right" She said, a tiny bit of anger returning. She pouted at the tiny little display picture of him as he tried to continue. however, he was cut off mid sentence when alarms started blaring. Next thing she knew, the image froze and then a few moments later it disconnected completely.

"No... no, no, no, nooooo" she said getting more and more distraught. She started to hammer the buttons but it didn't work. Seconds later the laptop was in pieces, its insides scattered across the floor.

She stood by her apartment window and starred out at nothing in particular. She took a long drag o her cigarette and blew the smoke against the window pane. "Where the hell are you...?" she sighed

A knock at the door grabbed her attention. She turned around a looked rather miffed at the fact she had to answer the door. "I told you. The rent is coming at the end of the month!" she stated as she opened the door, expecting it to be the disgruntled landlord who she had not intention of paying. She was going to be gone in a days time anyway. She had stayed here long enough.

Upon opening the door she was greeted with a sudden jolt of electricity which rendered her unconscious. She slumped to the floor and everything when black.

Pierre pulled his rucksacks' straps further up his shoulders as exited the airplane. He stopped and took in his surroundings, watching the various people pass him in a hurry. There were businessmen, families and couples waiting patiently on chairs for their planes to arrive, restaurants serving hot foods and family reunions. In this country, no one was waiting for Pierre.
He sighed and made his way out of the airport. He needed answers to his powers; the boy on which he had experimented his powers on was his best and only friend, so Pierre had no one to rely on. When he reached the exit doors of the airport, he took in the American air and sighed.

After walking along the streets for 5 minutes or so, he flagged down a cab. It pulled over after heeding his call and Pierre shrugged off his rucksack, tossing it into the back seat. He hopped in and closed the door, shifting over to the left side of the cab.
"Where to, buddy?" the driver asked, looking in his mirror to get a good look at Pierre.
Pierre pulled out a map and pointed to the location he was headed. The driver nodded and drove off, then turned round a corner. Pierre gazed out of his window, taking in the different sights, and relaxed.
And that was the moment that the driver turned round in his seat and pulled a gun on him. Pierre felt something thin and sharp hit him in the arm. Looking down he found a dart sticking out of his jacket, although lodged into his arm.
He groaned, and slumped into a drowsy sleep...

Kofi was walking through the streets of New York on his way to work. He heard a rumbling sound coming from his stomach.
Hmm, I think I'll take a detour and get something to eat. I'm a little hungry right now.

He turned down a not so familiar side alley, figuring that it was a shortcut to where he wanted to go. He was walking through the alley when he noticed a group of people ahead of him. One of Kofi's hands went to his Glock, just holding the grip and not pulling it out just yet.

He walked up to the group "Excuse me guys, I've just gotta get past you guys and go that way."
The tallest man, about 5'10", obviously the leader looked up at Kofi and pulled out a flick knife "Why should we move? You can just go back the way you came and find another way around."
Kofi took a step back, not wanting to start a fight "Hey, no need to get violent. I'll leave."
Kofi turned around and walked out. He started walking back down the busy and crowded main street.

He bumped into a guy and turned to look at him. He was wearing a black suit and black glasses, but he was kinda fuzzy.

Kofi looked down at his hip and saw some kind of dart sticking out. He walked down a nearby alley and reached down to pull out the dart.
Just before he could reach the dart he passed out.

Tycho moved through the crowd, weaving in between them as everyone struggle to get wherever it was they were going. Behind him he could hear surprised yells; or angry ones; or both; he didn't risk looking back to find out. Someone had been following him since the morning, dressed in dark clothes and wearing sunglasses, despite the fact that it was pretty dim out. He was running, and he was very good at it. The yells were getting closer to him and all too suddenly, the crowd broke and he found himself tumbling down a steep hill, having come out just at the gap between two sets of guard rails. After a few seconds, he came to a stop at the bottom and staggered to his feet, one of his arms broken and a gash running down his cheek.

"Hey, you!" came a deep voice from behind him, "Stop right there!" Tycho didn't hesitate for a moment, and he bolted away from the voice. He must've been in a park, seeing as he was quickly surrounded by thick foliage. Not thick enough, though; he felt something stick into his forearm, probably a dart, like the one they'd tried to get him with earlier in the day.
He ran for a while, but he was getting tired, and his pursuer didn't seem to be getting tired at all. Another dart hit him, and Tycho cursed. He managed a step and a half before he crashed face-first into the ground. As his vision faded, Tycho could hear the man who had been chasing him come closer. And then he passed out.

Andrew knew he was being followed. He could feel it.

Thought and emotions pressed in from the outside on his psyche, producing faint ghost noises in the back of his mind. There were six of them, moving about around him, darting through the alleyways that honeycombed this part of the city. Herding him, moving him too a killing ground. He could not see them yet, nor they him, but he knew where they were. He could feel them.

Andrew didn’t know who these men were, but none of what he could sense told him that them meant him anything but harm. Steel faced, he fondled his switchblade in his pocket. What these men didn’t know though was that he could feel them, track them. You can’t herd someone who knows where you’re going to go next. Andrew let his mind expand.

There., an opening in their movements. For a few seconds, there is a gap in their net, and Andrew darts through an open alleyway past them. He is free! They cannot hope to catch him now. Strength fills his legs as he runs in earnest. He turns a corner to the open street.

And the grey wall of a van greets him, blocking his passage. A dead end. Behind him, Andrew can feel the men converging on him. It was a trap, of all things, they knew he could sense them. They knew all along.

Slowly, Andrew raises his hands above his head. This fight, this game, is over. He purses his lips as a black bag is forced over his head and his hands are manacled behind him. He is lead into a car and is driven somewhere in silence.

But where?

===========nighttime in NYC===========

Raphael was sitting on the ledge of a rooftop thinking about his family back home *i wonder how they're doing, they probably miss me a lot*

he stood up, and immediately heard something flying toward him. without even thinking he shifted to the side as a small dart the size of a bullet hit the chimney.

"uh oh!" he jumped off of the roof and grabbed the fire exit ladder just before reaching the ground. using the momentum of the swing he darted full speed toward a subway entrance (the train, not the food place). using the special plates on his shoes he started grinding the handrail down to the bottom like he was wearing rollerblades. he jumped the turnstile and ran into a subway train.

once he got in, people started to whisper to each other. Raphael could hear what they were saying

'what is that thing?'
'it's another one of those freaks.'
'i hope it gets off soon, i don't trust them'

*great, here too (-_-)* the doors opened at the next stop and he walked out, but someone was following him. when Raphael noticed that the stranger was about to stab him with something, he turned, grabbed the man's arm, twisted it around to his back, and using his free hand, stabbed the syringe into the man's arm. while he did this someone ran up from behind and delivered a blow to his back with a stun glove, the sudden shock wave sent through Raphael's spine knocked him to the floor. a few more people appeared, he could hear voices while he was drifting in and out of consciousness.

"this one was definitely like the profile said he was gonna be, he was one of our toughest rundowns yet."

"ha ha ha, yeah, i still cant believe that you missed your shot while he was on the roof. you're supposed to be our top marksman? riiiiight "

"shut up! like you could've done any better! :x"

"alright, that's enough out of the both of you. let's get these two out of here before we make even more of a scene"

"yes sir!"

Samuel was walking throught the innards of the testing station in area 51, he secretly wished that he wasnt, most people would kill to get in area 51.
the only difference between him and those people, is that he actually DID have to kill to get in there.
the painful memories of the hundreds of souls he sent to the afterlife pained him, it tore his insides apart, it made him lose sleep.
the government can make someone a killer, but they cant make them enjoy it.

He was thinking about his previous mission he was on, 22 confirmed casualties, 18 of them civillians, 2 of them kids. THEY called it a success. as he was thinking of the dead his intercom clicked on
"SAM WE NEED HEL..... WE ARE UNDER ATTAC....."
*static*
sam traced the signal to sector 62, armory.
"stay there im on my way"
sam ran to the sector that was calling him, luckily it wasnt too far away, in the underground base of area 51, that is a rare luxury.
arriving to the hallway leading to the armory, sam was met with 2 guys in suits, with medics and infantrymen at there side, one of them holding an AK-74.
"sir we have everything under control!"
"bull sh- rob just called!"
*sigh* he remembered his training, respect authority.
"is there anything I can do to help?"
"yes there is go back that way and get us some more stretchers"
"yes sir" sam turned around to go back.

the agent standing there whispered to the infantrymen holding the AK-74
"fire"
the infantry released a full clip into the back of sam, the body armor can stop the bullet, but cant stop the impact.
sam fell to the ground, in serious pain.
"take care of mr. jostens here "
those were the last words he heard before a soldier took off his helmet and pushed a needle into his neck and pressed down on the plunger.

and then there was blackness.

(this is my first RP, so send me a private message if you have any advice.)

Kaelin was typing ferociously, the keyboard clicking loudly each time a key was depressed. He paused for a second and reread his letter. As he did he popped the top on some energy drink and downed it. Nearby, his failed term paper was about to face a terrible battle against a variety of anime figurines.

Kaelin was extremely displeased with the failing grade. The teacher argued that his theory was nothing more than conjecture and had no place in an academic facility. It wasn't Kaelin's fault the professor was stupid. Obviously the technology required to create such a delicate crystal matrix was not available, but in the next few years the world would have such amazing machines. Kaelin's scale model had failed to act according to his predictions, which certainly hadn't helped him in defending the paper.

The unfinished letter would likely never see the light of day. By far it had too many vulgarities and Japanese terms. As he contemplated what he was really going to send the professor a tiny icon began flashing. Peeved by the interruption he quickly clicked the icon. The e-mail inside was terse and required his immediate presence with the main office, something about his downloading habits.

"OOOOOOooooooooooo gawd! Why now?" Kaelin cursed his luck and the stupid code he had written to divert attention away from him. He quickly jogged over to the office and was suprised to see that it was mostly empty, though when he tried the door it opened. He meandered to the office, half wondering if something was going on. Upon his arrival he noted the two guys in suits standing in the dean's office.

"Uhh... I'm supposed to meet the dean for something. Is he in?" The guy on the right gestured toward the seat. Obediently Kaelin sat. He heard a folder open and he saw a picture of himself along wit various bits of information.

The left guy spoke simply. "You are Kaelin Ashmore." His tone indicated that he wasn't asking. Kaelin nodded and felt himself start to sweat. His mind raced. Jesus! It was a setup! These guys gotta be FBI or something!

He spoke and his voice wavered. "I can explain. See, the stuff I download isn't licensed in the U.S. so its..." He was cut off as the other man held out a piece of metal and commanded him to touch it. Confused Kaelin complied. He jerked is surprise. This metal incorporated some of his theory. A series of structures in it was convoluted and complex... and ridiculously strong. "How the hell do you have this? It's not possible! I just failed a paper for writing about this!"

The two men stood quickly and the door shut. He stood up to protest and got a sucker punch that knocked the wind out of him. Tears leaked from his eyes as he gasped for breath. A pair of handcuff was slapped on. "You are coming with us." The men lead him out and placed him in the back seat of a car.

Justin lay on his couch. The preceding day was the same as ever: get up, get dressed, go to work, come home and sleep. He felt like he was in a ditch. He got up, deciding to go out for a bit. As he reached for the door, he felt odd. He wasn't sure what brought it on, but he wanted to bring his families heirloom along. The sword hung just above the couch. Retrieving it, he put it in its sheath and tied it to his waist. Perhaps he was being paranoid, but he turned his back to the wall when he opened the door. Seeing that nothing happened, he walked out the door, closing it behind him.

He walked down the sidewalk for a few minutes before he felt he was being followed. 'What the- am I being followed?' he thought. He turned, and saw nothing behind him. He looked in different directions before continuing again, and again the feeling of being followed returned. Justin smiled while thinking 'Huh, I guess I am being followed. Lets see if they can keep up.' At that, he started sprinting. He took turns around corners and into alleys. He stopped in one alley so he could catch his breath. He looked in the direction he came, and saw no one running after him. 'Huh, I guess I made a mistake. Oh well, at least no ones hurt.'

He started to walk again. He made only two steps before he heard something hit the ground. He turned quickly, and saw a needle stuck in the ground. When he looked up he saw a man holding a tranq rifle. The man had already loaded his gun before Justin had looked up, and shot another needle at him. Justin moved out of the way in time, barely dodging the needle. While the man reloaded his rifle, Justin dashed out of the alley and turned left. He kept running until he came to the city pool. Hoping it was only one man that was after him, he jumped into pool, and formed a small bubble around himself. He kneeled down once he touched the bottom of the pool, and waited for his follower/s to pass by.

Kanda ran through the forest, they were after him. They couldn't just leave him alone, no, they chase him, disturb his peace and quiet.

Another dart almost hit him. He turned around to locate the shooter. He ran from tree to tree, he saw the shooter pull the trigger, he moved away just in time. "Let's go, Zenbushin.." He said as he drew his katan out of the scabbard. He charged towards him.

Kanda suddenly stopped, several darts had hit him. "Damnit! DAMNIT!"
His curses stopped as he lost conciousness.

I rolled over onto my side and groaned, my head felt like it was about to burst. I was afraid to open my eyes. So for the longest time I just lay there, trying not to groan as I waited for the migrane to pass. When the pain finally eased I cracked my eyes and saw only blurs. Several minutes passed before I started to be able to see clearly. Once I could I sat up quickly, that was a mistake. The world spun and I wanted to throw up.

More time passed before I started taking things in. First, someone had changed my clothes, by the gods I hoped it was a female. When I finally turned from those thoughts I started to notice Where I was, A fair sized room. one wall held a tv and a bookshelf. The next wall was a bed and a dresser, I was on the bed. The third wall held a door probably leading to a bathroom, and the last was a plane of glass, about a foot thick. There was door there two, but it held a key card and handprint scanner. In the middle of the room was a table and several chairs.

As I took things in several plans started to form in my mind, especially when I got up and looked closely at the wall of glass. There were small slits here and there about it, to let in air, and the room was in a hall lined with simular cells, in fact the one across from him held another occupant, still out cold it looked like. While he wouldn't be able to break through the slits they were a weak point if it came to it. There was the obvious bang heads together strategy but he doubted that would work, probably had guards waiting in the halls with Smg's whenever they brought food or other things. But the key card and handprint scanner, now that he could do something with.

With a nod he raised his voice, not doubting that someone would hear him, "So who's all awake out there?"

Kofi slowly came to again. He tried to open his eyes but couldn't. He reached up with both hands and rubbed at his eyes, clearing all the sleep off the top of them.

He tried again to open his eyes, this time managing to slowly.
He looked around at his surroundings, 3 white walls, a pane of glass, and some guy standing up in a different room.

Kofi slowly sat up, then after a few minutes stood up.

He approached the glass and looked at the guy in the other room "Hey, do you know where we are mate?"

Samuel woke up to the sounds of 2 people talking. at first he was disoriented and couldnt even sit up The bruises on his back made it painful to lie back down, and the injection site on his neck made it almost impossible for him to look around. He stood up slowly and walked around the room he was in, it was nothing new. "hmm as far as holding cells go, these are pretty nice" he thought.
the first thing he noticed was the fact that he was no longer wearing his body armour, only his fatigues and a ski mask. (by law all project juggernaut soldiers could never show there face) taking stock of the situation, he decided there was no escape from the cell, so he walked up to the bars and said. "anyone else here?"

Raphael started hearing voices around him, he was directly next to the guy that shouted. he slowly opened his eyes. "nngh, not so loud. my ears aren't just for show, and i got a splitting headache. ever hear of the term living in a glass house. cause your yelling is bouncing off the walls."he put the pillow that was under his head around his ears until the migraine subsided to a mere dizzy feeling.

he slowly got out of bed, still a little dizzy. looking around he noticed that he was stuck in a cell. *great, trapped in a cell like a beast in a cage* when he checked his clothing he saw that he still had his clothes on, but they took away his weapons *son of a b****, they stripped me of my stuff. my sword and bombs were custom made too.*

he heard someone ask where we were "yeah, where are we? and what's a guy got to do to get some food and migraine medicine around here? i'm starving." his stomach started to growl, and everyone in the area could hear it.
