I got the game a few weeks ago and I like the game very well balanced and I like not having to micromanage resources the graphics are surpurb and the gratuitus (sorry if thats misspelled) violence apeals to the chaos warrior inside me. Im definatly picking up the Expansion when it comes out. anyone else doing likewise?

EDIT: I have the game and im so glad i did.. FOR THE GLORY OF THE GREATER GOOD!

A truly awesome game. I reccomend looking into the many mods that have been released for it.

I have the Winter Assault Expansion pack and plan on getting Dark Crusade when it comes out. Got to say, I really enjoy playing as the Imperial Guard. Commanding the average Joe with nothing more than an Angy Flashlight for a weapon.
I like mass fire. :)

It took me a long time to fully realise how useful the Drednaught really was. I think it was in the last mission of the Campaign and I had one to start off. I equipped it with a Lasecannon and it almost singlehandedly held off an assault on an allied position.

I will be getting dark crusade but i think its released on the 27th in the UK. The Necron would just own everything and everyone there unstopable. ive seen the trailer off space marines vs necrons and it look to be a smashing game.

If you like the game, I reccomend getting the boardgame set. (or other way around for some people). I had a lot of fun with my friend helping finish up the imperial army. Im trying to save up to get the lizard men army or those once guys in black armor. forgot their names.

Lets revive the thread just like the Necrons do all the time.

Wh40k is really one of the best board games, and the PC versions are relly good too.

Personally i adore Necrons, but there are races with funny language like orks ("don't bother me, i'm working on something..."), or space marines ("for the emperor" "WE are the emperors chosen").

Still...

I'm ordering necrons :)
yey!!
:)

The university network prevents me form playing DoW online, blast!
Expansion packs/downloads are on my agenda, there is nothing that my small, heavily armed, and mechanised Marine force can't kill, regeneration or not. And there is always the heavy backup in the form of predator main battle tanks if the proverbial hits the fan.

Iused to collect Nids and fighting necrons was not fun

Step 1 . Run towards the necrons getting pasted by there superior ranged weaponry

Step 2. Finally Get into combat with about a quarter of wat i had into close combat and tear the necrons to peices

Step 3. Watch them get back up

Step 4. Rinse , Lather And Repeat

I still maintain that a small, highly trained, properly equipped Space Marine Force can rip anything into tiny peaces, with the application of some tactical brain power. in DoW 5 squads of marines + fire support and APCs, one secures the base, break the other four into two, two unit groups and use a systematic search and destroy paten, and the machines had it! True Blitzkrieg style!
