What inspires or first inspired you to draw/color/model and so on? Is it music, seeing other people's work, goals, thinking of the possibilities, or something else?

I'm not much of a drawer. Although I enjoy creating buildings, abstract objects, and so on in 3DS MAX 7. I'm also getting interested into 3D Animation. I suppose what has mainly interested me is seeing other peoples work and music.

My game concept was inspired by Xenogears, StarOcean, Final Fantasy, Tales of Phantasia, Metal Gear Solid, and Chrono Trigger. Along with that, different anime shows also spurred my designs.

Otherwise, my core inspiration wells from some other ideas I've invented in the past. Much of my work was genesized from subliminal memories and the will to draw upon those images and thoughts.

Music inspires me...being outside can...certain things in nature...TV shows etc. :D What first inspired me? Good freaking question, I can't remember... Probably the urge to make my own character.

Voices-- they told me to draw- durring church mostly-- i used to get in trouble-- but then they just accepted it-- me drawing on the bulitins and visitation cards... and finally i got a sketch book-- i would fill up 100 page sketch book every 1-2 weeks-- i used to have a stack of them reaching 6 feet high but i decided to throw them out one day-- now i have another stack almost 6 feet high... but i keep em in the closet now-- nothing really inspired me at first but soon enough everything started to... so now im an artist! im technically (like Fox) a professional artist... bwahaha! *Slaps people with his Diploma*

My inspiration comes largely from the music I listen to. It gives me these vivid images in my mind that I usually can't put onto paper before they fade (cursed classes...), but they serve me well when I can.

Now, my MOTIVATION...that comes from reading and admiring the work of such fine fellows as Tom. I had been in a bit of a slump, I was completely unable to get myself to draw. Then I saw Twokinds, and I'm now able to kick my rear enough to get back into it.

Most of my art I can say is inspired by the Carmina Burana soundtrack and DeVotchka's How it Ends album, both of which I listen to constantly. What first inspired the look of my first real character (Fizzy) was Mr. Tumnus from the Chronicles of Narnia book series. I get inspiration from friends, from books, and, a lot of times, people's posts in roleplays. Sometimes I draw heavily from dreams, and sometimes I get a little inspiration from a TV show or movie.

Hmmmmm..... I'd guess my love to play rpgs and role play on forums such as two kinds, an overpowered imagination, the death of my cat, my doomsayer senses, and some other things is probably what inspired me to draw whatever it is i draw and say whatever it is i say. otherwise it is pure randomness.

I have the most unreliable short-term memory and tend to forget everything in a matter of seconds. This leads to small fragments of ideas that I peice together haphazardly. I guess that would explain why nothing I make up seems to make much sense...
I got some inspiration from music twice but the connections to the song were so obscure that I doubt that it would count.

I have been slapped with many things... But this is a new low... well, actually an improvement because it doesn't leave an indention. A diploma? Kewl stuff =]

What inspires me to draw (badly)?

Mostly through watching my classmates, they provide plenty of drawing inspiration. I once got an odd look from someone I couldn't forget, so I drew it...

=]
