I have a friend who is DMing a game called paranoia. He's hungering for vict... I mean players.

Paranioa is basically a hilarious RPG set in a darkly humurous future. What you do is basically do simple missions, but they are overcomplicated. You try and find eachother as traitors... and well kill eachother off, hilarity ensues. I can't really say much else about it, because knowing the rules, is well... treason.

More info to those who want it, I still have to find out some more, but anyone interested please say so. I will be joining these as another player (or at least I hope I will). This will be taking place in a chat client made for the game, so set your clocks to EST.

Hi. I'm Ghaleon. I'll be your GM/DM for this wonderful and fun journey through Alpha Complex.

First things first: Your name. The Computer, in it's infinite wisdom, has thrown out the naming system of humanity in favor of a more organized system, sorted by a given name, their clearance, home sector, and clone number. Ex: Ghaleon-R-MBO-3. Now, for the first part, make it up. Second part has to be R for Security Clearance RED. The last part is also made up. Pick any three letters you like. The number is your Clone Number This indicates the clone you are on, to a maximum of six (6).

Security clearances: Now, I know you're all wondering, "What the heck is a security clearance?!" It's your rank in Alpha Complex, according to the electromagetic spectrum. Ultraviolet, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, and Ultraviolet, from lowest to highest. Those of lower clearance must follow orders from higher ranking clones, or be guilty of treason.

Treason: This is basically any act that would put you in a position to be labelled a commie mutant traitor and summarily executed.

Mutant Powers: Everyone has a mutant power. Mutant Powers are treason. In short, don't use these unless you can either A) terminate the poor soul that saw you use it, or B) Blame it on commie sabotage.

And there's the basics for you. If I'm forgetting anything, I'll probably edit this post, or add it to this topic later.

Uhm, Well, since I'm already a commie, I may have problems. :3 At any rate, I guess I'll sign up for this....

M-Power: Slow down precieved passing of time. (Faster reflexes, doesn't increase speed of movment.)

M-Power: Flame manipulation, and the ability to convert energy into flames to control.

If we need profiles, i'll use my one from before, or tweak it some to fit this later.

Umm... quick caution about profiles, I don't think this supports anthros. I'll also get Ghal to give a little better explanation of the sign up system.

Ok, small problem. Mutant powers are actually pre-defined, although, most of the powers you have requested are already listed. Stuff like Pyrokinesis, Mental Blast, and Heightened Senses.

I'll have to get more in-depth, but I don't feel like it at the moment. Thus, I will have a complete post in about... 24-36 hours. Until then, visit www.paranoia-live.net for better descriptions of everything than I could ever provide.

EDIT: I need you guys to download the JParanoia software from Paranoia Live. This requires the latest version of Java, so get that from Sun.com. Use the character generator included to make your characters, and host the text files it outputs somewhere. I'll put 'em in my database, and we'll be ready to rock. I plan on hosting it on Tuesdays, (Maybe this coming one, if you guys are quick enough) at about 5 PM EST. I'll post the times for each week in this thread, so stay tuned.

Come on. I just went out and bought the rulebook, so I think that you guys can help me protect my investment here. Just one player is kinda pathetic. You don't want this commie to beat you, do you?

lmfao... this is the funniest rp game i've ever seen... played a short session with a friend... lets just say it ended with me, on a bus... go boom... i also somehow managed to spear my friend with a neon lights sign... oh dam... did i ruin it? You saw nothing... i was never here...
