Well, I'll start off with this tribute image I found on a Captain Jack fanclub forum (in the links below). [ (c) the owner of the image. ]

We were informed this morning that well-known Bemani and Dancemania artist Captain Jack has passed away due to a stroke and accompanying coma. Captain Jack was originally diagnosed with a stroke in 2002, but refused to change his lifestyle to reduce the impact of his condition and lessen the chance of a future stroke. He collapsed on Monday at a party in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, and was pronounced dead today. Captain Jack is survived by his ex-wife Daniela Schaefer and his son Francisco.

Thanks to Unknown Gamer and Schmichel for the news.

So, anyone listen to Captain Jack? He had several songs on various Dance Dance Revolution games including Dancing Popokolin, Only You, Little Boy, and Captain Jack. I enjoy nearly every song he made (some of my favorites being Vamos A La Playa, Captain Jack, Sing Hallelujah, and Don't You Just Know It.). It's quite a blow to alot of my DDR friends cause Captain Jack was one of our favorite song artists.

Captain Jack - Grandale Mix - This is one of the songs on DDR. If ya like it then you should definitely get some of his CDs!

Captain Jack is the name of the group, if I'm not mistaken. The guy went by Franky Gee I think...?

His music was great. It was corny, but that man made some of the best stuff in the DDR franchise because it was just so fun to move to.
