PHPUpdate is a project I have been working on for a while now. It's a set of scripts designed for webcomic authors moving to their own space from somewhere like keenspace. The latest version is 0.1, and I'm working on the official 1.0 release. Here's the website: http://secondarystar.5gigs.com/phpupdate =D

EDIT: Check the last page for up to date info about phpUpdate.

Cool, really that will be helpful if I ever actually get my comic going(all planned cept storyline), and break away form new world.

I don't think I would "need" it but it will be helpful.

I updated the news and I'm going to try and find a better host. I'm having big delays, and lot's of trouble with MySQL Server. >_>

Do you have PHP / MySQL installed on your home computer/laptop?

100% uptime and the fastest load time you can imagine! XD

Yeah, that's where I was having trouble. That host is just where I have the site. =D

Yah, I threw togeather a quick package simular to this awhile back for our round robin sub-comic(comic where Anyone who wants to draw the next comic can, and thus has a very erratic update schedual). I blended it inot the cutenews script, so they don't have to mess around in ftp. But as I said this will be very useful because it was made for this, and not thrown onto a news script as a after thought. ><

Mine only supports jpg, you have to manually insert the date(basically a rename box), and the thing has permission problems(you can post a comic, but it won't allow you delte them through it).

Fweee. I'll update the news on the phpUpdate site with this soon, but I got linux, so I can continue work as soon as PHP decides to work. >_< I should have everything stable and running in a few days, and then I'll get back to work. =D

EDIT: I think my webhost messed up my .htpasswd file on the phpUpdate site, so I can't get into the update page.

grarg... That must kill. You can install PHP, Apache and MySQL on any computer, it's not too hard if you follow the instructions.

After that, just specify a domain (ie "localhost") and your running off your PC like it was nothin.

I just go to http://localhost/ to access any page straight off my comp. If you have dreamweaver there are some really coll things you can do on top of it.

I have something else to do on this subject, currently I am making a comic update script, I was wondering how you did the calendar.

Well, I haven't done anything yet. I ended up having to scrap a lot of stuff, and just rebuild from scratch.

No problem, I just finished the calendar, and it was rather hard, even though I did get a prebuilt caledar display from http://keithdevens.com/software/php_calendar. Everything else I have done from scratch so far, Only reason I am making my own script is because we need it to list the comics in the MySQL table, and i donno if even cusp does that. But ATP-Autosite definitely doesn't, we also required built in filler support, update scripts, chapter update support(that works), and a whole host of other things. @_@, lucky all I have left to do is the back, next, beginning, and latest buttons and the navigation drop-down menu, compared to this those will be easy.
