I bet you'd <3 it :D I don't really know how to introduce someone rave and trance and whatnot... I don't want to lead them straight into Oakenfold and Tiesto, but that's who most people end up liking anyway... I don't think any of the rave music artists who are so popular in the mainstream are that great, because to be so successful and accepted by everyone, it's like their music has to be watered down :( (or something... I just don't care for it) and I don't want people instantly thinking of mainstream trance when they hear the term "rave" or "techno"! Check out
this and
this, and you'll have a brief introduction to how vast and diverse rave music really is.
Oakenfold's got a pretty good beat mang. Sure he's not as good as some of the underground but you can still feel it. Afrika Bambaata and Soul Sonic sounds pretty good but they're more of a break beat. CZR and Alex Peace are tight look for a song called This is House Music. A lot of good songs are remixed too. Singing in the rain remix by Mint Royale is bad-[censored] and so is Above and Beyond Cyber trance remix by Ayumi Hamasaki, though I doubt she's the one who actually mixed it.
