What's the process you guys go through to draw these comics,and where do you get the materials and stuff?Do you just draw it out by hand,then scan it,or what?Where did you learn how to draw the way that you do?

EDITE:i know these might sound like some stupid questions,but until a few weeks ago,i've never really thought about doing this kind of stuff.now,it's all i can think about.i just wanna learn how to do it right

I have yet to release my comic, but I can answer these;

Some cartoonist write out a script for the comic first, then sketch, ink, scan, and color it. They do not release the comic for months, until they have about one story arc done, and then the post the comics one by one. I, however, just write the story randomly, not bothering to plan anything first, or making a script. I just write/draw whatever comes to mind.

My materials are just a mechanical pencil and unlined paper. Some people use a tablet. For those who draw by hand, without a tablet, they scan the comic and use something like photoshop to color it and add text. (I write all text by hand, and either leave the comic uncolored or colored by hand with colored pencils)

I taught myself how to draw by studying other peoples styles and creating my own. I fell this has more freedom then tutorials. Well, that's all I can say, I've been writing comics since I was seven, so yeah...

i can't use a program like MS Paint to color and add teh text,or something?because i dont have the money to get photoshop

if i get the trial version,it only lasts a month,and after that,i'm just screwed

lol,i was just curious about that last question (i can always steal my cousin's scanner for a few hours :twisted: )but i'm not sure how to use photoshop to do this stuff anyways.is there somewhere i can learn how?

whenever i search for photoshop walkthroughs,i get stuff on how to make signatures/web designs/etc. what type of walkthrough am i supposed to be looking for exactly?
