In comic time it can't have been more then a few minutes...Trace is still out cold...Flora is running around the Inn looking for Trace. Laura is..no idea...

Looking at it, while its really unlikely, it never actually shows him stabbing himself, or even moving the knife in. It just shows the knife pointing in. He could *hypotheticaly* not be stabbing himself. It just show's Natani being shocked and grabbing the mana necklace.

(I will never get off panel 5, it makes me laugh)

Uh oh, Keith's going to become an hero!

Haha, this was the part of the comic where we spent pages and pages and pages on spear type...

These archives are fun to read through. Oh how little we knew. And oh how very, very wild our guesses were.

There's no way Tom will let Keith die, he plays too important of a roll in the story to kill himself. I suspect someone is going to walk in upon this scene, but who knows what will happen after.

Ack, this comic is pushing me over the edge. Keith and Natani are my favorite characters, if either of the die I'd be bummed for months.

I kinda want Keith to stab himself just as Alaric walks in, and then Natani to do her best patch job with the mana stones. God knows what Alaric'd do. I don't know, I just want to see Alaric feelin' guilty at Keith's attempted suicide and the fact that what pushed him over the edge is his order. And it'd be funny to see what Alaric thinks of Natani's real gender.

To be honest, I just really want a crying Alaric. I don't know if he would cry at such a sight though - just how attached is he to Keith, anyway? And his feelings - friendship, love? Blarg, Alaric confuses me immensely. He's also one of my favorite characters ... and so is Kat, Mike, Evals, and Lady Nora ...

Why is it that the main characters usually seem the most boring to me? Not that Flora and Trace are uninteresting, just ... the least interesting of the characters. But they're still pretty high up there. In almost every show I've ever seen, I always wander from the main characters, and put the lead female lead with the second male lead. (ex.: for a while I supported Keith/Flora. In Full Metal Alchemist, I support Alphonse/Winry. In Ouran Host Club, I support Hikaru/Haruhi, ect.)

I have a feeling Tom might go to a different set of characters in the next comic to screw with us. Evals and Mike, Kat and Eric, or Flora. However, I don't believe he'll show from Trace's POV. I think it'd be better to leave his status kind of a mystery to both the readers and the characters.

:D I would love an Alaric crying over a recently-suicidal Keith. I think that would be my number-one choice for an ending to all of this.

Well taken into account that Tom had originally written Alaric to be a serious character, there must be something dark behind all that laughter and buddy buddy attitude. One day soon we shall see Alaric's true colours, and they will not be pretty.

wow... one day and already thirteen pages... wow. anways, yeah Keith looks like a girl, this comic is good but what's with the sobbing and confession thing. I'm all for the drama but i think Keith should be more solemn about it. That or i've been reading too much Shakespeare. Curse you drama class!!!

But ya, I'd like to see more of Alaric. He's a very interesting character. (Because their's not a whole lot about him.) He confuses me as well. He's so...I'd call him random.

It would be so annoying if he changed characters right now. With Keith having the Knife pointed at himsef. (He hasn't stabbed yet, all we saw was Natani looking shocked) For all we know someone walked in the door and he threw it at them.

Man, I had a pretty violent reaction to that strip... Dude, I'm shaking... I need some whiskey...
