Ssiruvi bowed slightly to the Vulcaan when she complimented him. "<Thank you.>"

He shrugged wen she started speaking philosophy. "<If you say so. I don't hold much with philosophy.>"

He turned around to see a Fowlim engaged with three Beasts. He gave the equivalent of a grin as he sheathed his two-handed sword and drew his other short swords. He ran the flat sides of both swords across his tongue, coating them with saliva, then threw them into two of the Beasts. This time, the bacteria took effect more quickly on account of these Beasts being smaller than the previous ones. They staggered, then fell to the ground.

He turned to the Vulcaan. "<You want the last one, or should I kill it?>"

<"Yes, I can translate, but do not call me Bert, Bertrand is fine. As for going around the mountain.... no. You guys will need quite a bit of help, and I personally want to see how these Humans react to life here."> Bertrand said, still balancing the two injured Humans on his arm.

"<Ok then Bertrand, watch this crowd...It's time for me to have a bit of fun...>"

He unsheathed his daggers and sprinted toward the beast stalking towards the Vulccan and Reptim. As the Reptim finished his sentence he sunk his blades into the beast's neck, ripping them out through the jugular.
"<You two aren't gonna be the only ones that get to have fun here. So I took care of this one for you.>"

Rocky cleaned his blades off and sheathed them. As he walked back to the group of humans he tuned his head to look back at Luljieta "<By the way, you have a nice physique Vulccan. But since you have no interest in me, I'll go easy on the flirting...See you back at the group.>" He continued walking towards the humans, a smile on his face

"You deal with these, I trust your skills that far." Luljeta replied "I will help this one" She continued as she tired to help the panicked felim.

Rocky's comment was an interesting one. A Felim saying that it would not flirt, that was something she had never heard of before. "Do as you wish Rocky" She said diplomatically.

Ssiruvi raised one eyebrow as Rocky came out of the brush and assassinated the last Beast. Coward. I want to ssssee him fight a Beasssst on equal ground.

He watched Rocky walk away as he spoke to Luljeta. "<A Felim that issssn't flirting with a Tribesssswoman. Now that'ssss ssssomething I've never sssseen before.>"

Tironu Eunisu and Tyrial walked up to Ssuruvi. Tironu spoke first. "There was six of them." Tyrial had an idea about it. "There hunting groups are getting bigger." Eunisu wasn't really catching on. "so what does that mean?" Tyrial sighed and looked at the the Reptium . "They're getting more desperate for food..."

Ssiruvi voiced what Luljeta had been thinking. It was odd, or maybe just a way for Rocky to get Luljeta's guard down. She had met enough of them to be familur with the tricks they played. She didn't replied just nodded in agreement.

"That's not it" Luljeta said interupting "They are getting smarter... maybe even borderlining on civilised. I think we can use Bertrand as a prime example of this. What if he isn't one of a kind, what if there are more like him pulling the strings behind these coordinated attacks?" she said expressing her theroy

Ssiruvi shut his eyes and pictured what an attack launched by intelligent Beasts would look like. It wasn't pretty. "<I hope you're wrong, Vullcan. If you're right, they may wind up being a far greater threat than before.>"

He opened them and started walking back to the survivors. "<Let'ssss get moving. We need to get the ssssurvivorssss to the ssssettlement assss quickly assss possssible.>"

As he arrived he turned and started walking toward the village. After about a dozen steps he looked back. "<What are you all waiting for? Come on, double time, move it! The Beasssstssss have sssstarted hunting and we need to move fasssst.>"

"They will only me a threat if the tribes continue to fight of territory like they do" Luljeta said as she followed after the beast slayer. She let most of the humans pass her by so she could cover the rear of their advance.

Rocky reached the group as they reached the entrance to the tunnel "<I'm back, did I miss anything?>"

He positioned himself ahead of the group and turned to Bertrandio "<Ok, from here on out you all have to stay as close together as physically possible, there's no telling what's in these tunnels. It's always random with inhabitants, and could very well be infested with those beasts. Bertrand, can you translate? I want them to know what is to be expected in these tunnels.>"

Bertrand turned to the group of Humans and spoke "Rocky, warns that you stay closely together as possible. There might be creatures like me in the caves between the village and here."

Goon:
The implants were definetly starting to work, Goon understood almost everything the reptile and then the feline had said.

Calvin:
So had Calvin, he turned back to the rest of teh humans, "Alright folks, you heard the lizard, let's move! Move! Move! And for god sake stay together!"

As one, the crowd started moving foward.

Calvin looked back at Nick, "Let's hope we don't run into what those guys just got through fighting."

"Same here. So many people died already. The last thing i want to see is another human killed." Nick replied.

Looking back, Nick couldn't shake the feeling that more could have survived. That they could be leaving behind more survivors. That they have to fend themselves against the beasts.

"You think there could be more who survived?" Nick asked Calvin

Calvin nodded, "Definetly, but we've got to take care of the one's we know are alive first. Don't worry, we'll come back, of that you can be assured."

Goon:

"Goodness this thing is heavy, and this is just one cat?" Goon asked the children (who's names, he'd learned, were Marcus and Ellen).

Marcus shook his head, "We got a few others in there too."

"How many are a 'few'?"

" 'bout six."

"Six?"

"Well we weren't just gonna leave the kittens. Poor little things."

Goon sighed, the innocence of children, one of the few things science could never explain.

Suddenly there was a chorus of hisses from inside the box.

"What on earth, quiet down in there, don't cause a scene!" Goon whispered into the box.

Ellen piped up, "I think the kitty-cats know something's wrong."

Goon was about to say something, then he heard skittering sounds far away, almost like an echo. "What in the world?" he said.

"Mista Goon..." The children seemed scared.

"Keep close children, everything will be alright." Goon said.

I hope.

Ssiruvi raised one brow ridge as the Hoo-Mans seemed to understand him. Thesssse Hoo-Manssss are fasssst learnerssss.

He spun around when he heard the skittering. Okay, either A. there's a ss'zash nesssst nearby or B. there are Beasssstssss nearby. Either way, we should leave. He went back out of the tunnels and climbed up a tree to see what the source of the sound was. At first he saw nothing.

Then he saw a number of creatures resembling shortened, ten-legged centipedes with large slicing mandibles moving toward them. "<Damn! Ssss'zash!>" He dropped out of the tree, ran back through the tunnels, and yelled at the survivors and the other natives. "<There'ssss a ssss'zash raiding party headed thissss way! We need to get out of here, NOW!>"
