Sitting at the place where the water washed up onto the shore in a constant rythem he failed to realize what made him tick, what it was that drove him to do what he did, what brought such desires out in him. His eyes drifted out into the surf where Ninoka pranced upon each and every wave, diving under and leaping over them in turn with a cheerful glee in her voice. His eyes trailed after her lovingly, from brother to sister of course as a smile perked upon his lips. Ninoka looked back to him her smile fading slightly as she looked upon his face, soft and longing for something. Kicking up water. she made her way to his side, her feet shifting comfortably in the churrning waters as she pressed her face under his arm, resting on his chest with a contented sigh of security.

Blinking in suprised he held her tightly, promising to himself to never let her go as the sounds of the beach played nicely into their dreams of being there for each other.

As a defensive precaution, Daniel pulled the belt of daggers taut to block the punch, then jumped back a few feet as he went for the roundhouse. He then took a single dagger out of the belt (While Erik was far enough away from him that he couldn't attack) and tossed it with surprising strength and accuracy at Erik (meaning unless he reacts quite fast, he'll get hit with it around the upper shoulder area. Not deadly, but it hurts and is a good place to draw blood (He still thinks Erik's human or a demon.))

Matashi laughed a bit. "He's probably nowhere as strong as Father...so he should be easy." Matashi replied and turned to watch the fight, motioning Tobias to sit down. He leaned back a bit, his wings resting on the seat behind him.

Erik caught the dagger by the blade between two of the fingers on his unarmored hand, then yanked it out of his hand and discarded it as he continued his assault. Let's turn this up a notch. He increased his speed from half his maximum to three-quarters of his max. He became very blurred as his speed increased, making it harder than before to discern his movements and predict his strikes.

"Hehe, nice speed. Too bad I'm more oriented towards it than brute strength." He said, and with that, drew his blade and slashed at the hand punching at him with speed matching Erik's easily (Little info: The blade cannot be broken by any ordinary means, nor by magic, so no saying you snap it with the punch, and lightning's a no-go too. ^_^ He is wielding it one-handed, though, so the backlash could hurt his arm a bit).

Erik's grin grew even more as he dodged the dagger. "Well, I guess that means I should stop holding back!" He increased in speed again. His attacks were now moving too fast to be seen and just a glancing blow would send someone tumbling across the arena. He also began aiming at weak points in his opponent's guard instead of random locations.

(Not his dagger, his blade. Difference: Blade's over twice as long) Daniel's smile grew. "I guess I need to free up this hand a bit now. It's a bit bulky" He said, quickly grabbing a dagger from the belt, then throwing it away from him while parrying and dodging the strikes (Which was a difficult feat. Needless to say, he took a little damage). Once he did, he started a large flurry of stabs from his blade (He holds his dagger and blade opposite to a normal person. Blade's edge faces behind the hand while the dagger's faces forward towards the opponent) while making sure not to leave an opening for a counterattack and keeping his dagger positioned in case of a side-step.

Raphael smirked "Easy huh, That's for sure. Last I remembered, you needed a bit of help from me to kill him...Makes you glad I was there to help you, eh brother?"

Tobias saw Matashi's gesture and got out of his crouching position to sit next to Dan. "So your father was that strong Matashi? Impressive...I'm glad I laid low while the whole thing blew over. Of course, that probably makes me a coward huh?" "Don't be so sure, you strike me as the nonviolent type, so avoiding conflict was a wise choice for you Tobias...What do you think Matt?"

((Huh? Erik already threw the dagger in his hand out of reach. He wasn't holding it.))

Erik felt himself being forced onto the defensive as his synth-skin was cut repeatedly, drawing a reddish fluid resembling blood. He jumped back about twenty feet, still smiling. "Let's see how you like this trick." He then turned to the stands. "Everyone up there might want to take cover right now."

He then held out his arms and began spinning at high speed while releasing nanites from his body. The nanite droplets were launched all around the arena in a silver shower, giving the resemblance of a lawn sprinkler. While the nanites were under orders not to dissolve living flesh it wouldn't hesitate to eat through nonliving matter, including clothing, stoe, metal, even the dead skin cells that made up the very top layer of a person's skin. In a matter of seconds after Erik stopped spinning the arena was covered with puddles of silver fluid.

Erik gave the order for the nanites to stop dissolving material and ordered them to connect. Small silver tendrils began flowing between the numerous puddles, linking them together.

Erik grinned like the Chershire cat. "Let the fun begin."

(Belt of daggers = 12 daggers. Only used 1, so there was 11 left. after he took one out, 10 left and he tossed it.)

"You know I can match your speed, right?" Daniel asked, moving away from the droplets the second he saw some of the "Liquid" fall onto his belt lying a bit to his left and what happened to it afterwards. He managed to find enough room to stand while looking at his surroundings for any other openings in the puddles so he could make his way to Erik, then saw one route that was possible, although it would require a bit of maneuverability and luck. He had the former, but he'd need both to not touch whatever it was, so he waited for Erik to make the first move so he had a little planning time.

Erik smirked at Daniel. "What's wrong? Afraid to come to me?" The smirk grew into a grin as he sent the signal. "Guess I'll just have to come to you!"

Behind Daniel, a silvery pseudopod silently rose from one of the puddles. It swung at Daniel, and at that moment every puddle surrounding the blade-wielder launch pseudopods of their own at him, all aiming to bludgeon him into submission.

Raphael's eyes widened as he saw the silver fluid "Talia, stone wall quick! And make it as thick as you can!"

Talia nodded "You got it Raph! and slammed her fist on the barrier of the arena. Almost immediately a wall of stone nearly 10 feet thick shot out of the ground, giving the group cover with five feet of extra cover spanning to the left, right, and upward from them. When Erik had finished with the attack, the wall almost looked like a television set with how the nanites had eaten away at it. "That was close, huh?" "Uhh...Yeah, lucky for us you managed that wall before I did...I doubt I would've made one like that."

'Damn. Gotta move now.' he thought as he heard the movement behind him. He saw the thing coming at him from all sides except for a slight opening at the top. He had to block one with his blade, but other than that he was free of them and jumped to the spot that he had eyed earlier (One in a small line towards Erik) and landed just about dead center, still surrounded. As soon as he hit the ground, he tore off a small bit of his shirt and wiped the stuff off, not wanting to know what it'd do if he left it, and threw the bit of cloth away.

As Daniel moved, nearby puddles sprouted their own pseudopods as those that couldn't reach retracted back to their puddles. The continued to attempt to hit him, but this time they also became very adhesive. As soon as one would strike him, the large end would melt slightly and spread over that part of Daniel and hold him tethered to the puddle. Slicing through the pseudopod wouldn't help, since the nanites would just flow around the blade and keep the halves connected.

Erik smirked. With the large number of pseudopods lashing at Daniel from all sides, it seemed likely that he would soon be caught. Then I can show him one of my best stunts.

Daniel jumped around, dodging most of whatever the liquid was (Not all, but making sure none hit his skin directly), until he got to the spot he needed to be in. It was a couple meters in front of Erik, and he stood closer to the back, where not many attacked from the front. he decided to jump one more time, and the ones that he jumped went forward once they missed him. 'well, now I get to see if it's a manual, or unstable technique (Manual means he controls it like part of his body, unstable means he'll have to dodge it). In either case, my best bet is that area over there.'

Once he finished the thought, he landed on an area left of where he had been, and made his way quickly towards Erik, in case the stuff attacked him again. (His clothes have been torn where he got hit, due to throwing it off of him whenever he had the chance. He's got about half his left sleeve, most of the right, and hasn't got hit in the legs...yet.)
