Kris groaned as she slowly came to iun what remained of the base's lobby. The last thing she remembered was finding Sam and dragging him off to find the bases network. Something had obviously happened to the base, but how and who attacked it.

Pulling herself off the groundand ont her knee Kris blinked trying to unblur her vision. She touched the side of her temple and winces as it throbbed, she felt a deep cut and blood flowed down the side of her face.

She looked around her and saw the state of the lobby. All the lights were busted, the walls were grumbling and fire was spreading down the hallway. She made her way towards the bent and buckled doorway on her hands and knees, crawling past the still live and sparking wire that hung from the roof.

Kris fell out of the door, he ability to stand still seemingly a problem and let aout a gasp as she was greet by freash air not tainted by smoke. THe otheres were here and she could feel every one of them. Their confusion and fear began to overwhealm her as she absorbed their feelings. Holding her head Kris could only manage a garbled "Wha- what is going on..."

Pierre was looking down the scope of the sniper when he witnessed a green beam hit the building. He took his eyes off of the scope and squinted his eyes at what was going on. A green wave protruded from the building that was blowing up and headed rapidly towards himself and Kofi.

"Oh, sh-!"

Pierre was sent flying off of the tree and was hurled into the air by the wave. He clung onto his sniper rifle for dear life, hoping that he could still hold onto something real at this moment in time. For this whole experience was so unreal, he couldn't believe it. As his body descended and he felt weaker, he looked around frantically for Kofi. Then everything went dark as he hit the ground...


He woke up in what felt like an eternity later to sit up and look at the wreckage around him. He found the others in the group had survived the destruction and were feebly walking around. He managed to stand up and realised his wounds had healed.

"Huh?"

Raphael chuckled when he heard Alex's remark about being with Kris during one of her Kinky moods "...Reeeaaally didn't need to hear that Alex. Some things are best left unsaid y'know."

He then began thinking about what Alex said, but stopped when his head started hurting "Green beam huh? Sounds like somethin' off of a sci-fi novel." He was puzzled when Alex asked if it was hot outside "Uhh...Alex, it's the middle of the fall season. It's like 65-70 degrees out right now."

((just wanted to do something to argue with Alex's intense heat.))

Alex shook his head and pulled away from Rapheal, he stumbled at first but soon he was walking just fine. He shook his head again, "[censored], I must be burning up here, got a fever or something, feels like its ninety and climbing." He started walking towards the rubbled, wanting, needing to find Kris. Little to his knowledge, his back was on fire. It wasn't burning away his clothes, but it sure as hell was fire, "Damn, I'm really hot here. Have you seen Kris?"

sam stood in shock, not knowing what to say. "alex... your back is on fire." he kept staring. "how are you not getting burned?"

Kaelin was thrown violently against the wall of the van. His head slammed against the metal and he blacked out. When he woke, he realized that he was against the wall, and that up was toward the console. He didn't even try standing. He slowly rolled to a crawling position and inched his way out of the vehicle. He finally tried to get to his feet, but immediately started swaying like mad. He crashed to the ground alongside the flipped van. Amazingly the communicator was still attached to his head. He reached over to activate it, but when he pressed the button, it didn't yield at all. Confused he removed it and noticed that it appeared to be fused together like some sort of glass. Something about its structure ran through his mind, but it didn't really make sense.

Shaking his head to try and wipe away the image of his healed wounds, he stumbled through the wreckage in an attempt to find Kofi. There was a lot of rubble around the area he was in, most of which had been blown off of the building and landed here.

"Kofi!" Pierre called out weakly. "Kofi!"

Kofi slowly came to. He felt like he had been hit by a boxer repeatedly.
He slowly stood up, using his sniper to support his weight until he regained his balance.
He looked over to Pierre who was yelling his name and clutched his head with one hand "Yeah, I'm still here. Got a migrane that just got worse, but I'm still here. What the hell happened anyway? I feel like I just went 5 rounds with Mohammed Ali."

Alex blanched and was about to freak out when he realized he wasn't gettting burnt. He looked over his shoulder and blinked, watching the flames coming off his back. Then he turned to Raph and Sam and shook his head, "I really don't know, lets find the res, we'll have time to figure out why I'm a human torch later."

Raphael nodded and put his hands in his pockets "And why I'm suddenly able to dive into shadows like they're pools of water. I don't know what's goin' on, but it's kinda freakin' me out." He followed Alex as they searched for the rest of the groups

He nudged Sam while they were walking, speaking low enough so that Alex could't hear him "Hey Sam, If we're lucky, the explosion might've fried Kofi."

Pierre smiled when he saw the familiar face of Kofi emerge from a pile of debris. He walked over to him and replied;

"From what I remember, a thin green beam hit the building. Then, the building exploded and a large green wave came from the building and wiped out, what appears to be, the entire area. I managed to survive, somehow. My wounds healed, if any."

sam didnt feel any different. All he did was look around ant everyone and sighed. he said silently to himself "why am I still with these people?" sam reached into one of the destroyed hum-vees and opened the hood. he was looking for anything he could use for his arm, it was injured in the explosion. he touched the battery and electricity jumped from the battery into his hand. suddenly his arm was fixed and he could feel something in his arm. "what the...?" he pointed a finger at a metal pole sticking out of the ground and shot a bolt of electricity at it. "Hell yeah!!!"
