For those of you who read my post in the coming and going thread about me giving a more detailed explanation about my reason for a mouth long hiatus, well here it is!
I was considering posting this in the threads like “Roommates from hell”, “Dorm Life” and “off to college”, but I since I commute (and therefore don’t have a roommate) the formers don’t make much sense for me and the later thread seems rather dead.
Waaay back when I first joined the Twokinds forum I mentioned that “I am college student studying Mechanical Engineering (ME)”, in case if you’re interested, here is the
reference , and right now I am studying my ME major into my junior year. Now I think I have a good guess about what you all might be thinking about, “we know you’re a college student Joe, but where do you go?”, well…I’ve kept it secret long enough, here it is:

I dare you to find it!! Anyway, Fairfield University was founded in 1942 by the Catholic order of the Jesuits and currently has 4 schools of learning, the School of Arts, the School of Nursing, the School of Business, and finally the School of Engineering. What makes School of Engineering at Fairfield University unique from other places like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), is that you don’t just take Math and Science classes, but your are required to take a lot of liberal art classes as well. Right now I am taking sociology and philosophy as my non-science classes and the science/engineering classes I am taking is Strength of Materials (finding out how much weight a piece of metal can take before it breaks), Thermodynamics (the study of how heat energy makes machines work, like a steam engine), Statics (the analysis of the forces on a machine that doesn’t move, like holding on to a lever without pushing or pulling), and calculus (math stuff, enough said). Yeah, I‘m more into the science part of engineering rather than the mathematics because, to me, that is the application of science that makes it fun. While the University itself is good, the professors here are horrendously difficult to learn from and the course load doesn’t make it any easier, so it means for me more time working the books and less time online. Fortunately, I found a way to work around that so it is still cool.
If you want post about colleges and have nothing to say about roommate and dorms, feel free to post them here.
