Are you running a USB key with the SpeedBooster? I'm told that it's actually a notable improvement in performance.

Only notable performance increases are seen when using 512MB-1GB of ram, other wise, it's negligible.

Good pick, but video card coulda been better.

the old one was 1,100 3 years ago...they would only give me a "comparable laptop" and what they offered were 400 dollar laptops (which i said no on and picked this one since they said i would have to pay 800 for a mac). This laptop was on sale 150 off. so usually 900 but on sale for 649.99. They gave it to us free still (we were there for almost 2 hours because of them anywase so we were not going to leave without not paying for this and only paying the warrenty) and they just said whatever. I know they scammed me in a way but ill live since its not that bad a pc. It does need a fresh install of Vista for sure...the junkware is annoying. But for the next 2 years it will be fine. Put ubuntu and ill live. Hopefully... I am still kinda P.O'd at BB for scamming me but ill live :P
