As for where I go, I blame my work - anyone who has worked in retail or sales has likely been subjected to the "corporate/executive visit" from time to time, and at my place, the bigwigs swing by pretty regularly...
It is a time of madness, as everyone gets all worked up over it - it means long days (and some nights) for me, and a lot of stress - so, aside from having little time to get on, the stress makes me a bit snippy, and I'd much rather poof for a little while than take my frustrations out on people that I think the world of...
