Is Team Speak a program or just a general reference to programs like Skype or Vent? I used to use Vent way back when I was in on UT2004, but after I started playing WoW I let that one get uninstalled.

I like TeamSpeak better than Vent, but I'm currently on a Vent server because I had troubles getting TeamSpeak working with everybody. The Vent server gets kinda crowded sometimes though...I like the TeamSpeak licensing much more.

Teamspeak is a program in itself buuuuuttt it also refers to people using microphone chat programs on there computer in the backround: xfire skype etc. I have a mike but only use it when talking to friends from rl.

Teamspeak is nice. Personally, I have tried Teamspeak and Skype, and, by far, Teamspeak is better - With most codecs, it uses less bandwidth. For normal chatting, I tend to set channels up with the Speex 12.x K codec, which seems to be a good compromise between sounding OK, and low bandwidth.

I used to use TeamSpeak when i had a Drift team in Live for Speed. We would use it to set up runs and get battles going between eachother and other teams. Don't use it anymore since i don't have a drift team. I use my cell phone when I need to tell anyone anything...or aim or MSN
