That's right. The call has come. I've received my orders.

As you all may or may not know, I am currently a PFC in the united states army. As such, I run the risk of being sent to "The sandbox", otherwise known as Iraq. I knew this when I signed up....

and the time has come for me to go. I leave next wendsday for deployment training, in which I will not be able to access the internet. Then the sandbox.

well, when I leave, all my characters are to be considered the property of their respective GMs. I'll have to find a GM for Crystal Continuation, but I think I have an idea for that....

and... I know this is rather dark of me to say, but... if you don't hear from me in about two years (hopefully, I'll be back by then) ....forget about me, 'cause chances are I'll be unable to post.

That's hard stuff, don't say that.

You know what to do, you should be trained well to keep at it and stay with us. You'll work it out. ;)

Good luck, have some... advice.

Shoot straighter, shoot faster, shoot first.
Be paranoid, EVERYONE is out to get you.
A white flag does NOT mean that someone is unarmed.
Lock your door, Lock your equipment box, and stay on friendly terms with you medic, sergeant, radio officer and quartermaster.

Good luck Private First Class, and may your enemy trip on his shoelaces. (Or his sandals as case may have it.)

well, I'm still here to talk to when you want.

I'd have advice, but I'm a 15-year old civilian, so eh.

Yeah....come back safely, best of luck, my atheist prayers are with you, etc, etc.

Good luck, Lohti. I can't say that I've known you for very long, nor that I support the war down there, but I still hope that you'll be okay.

it's not that I support it either, but every soldier is expected to lay down his/her life for the united states, and I'm no exception.

....so to put it simply, it's our job. We may not like it, but we're gonna do it.

My advice if it has any meaning to you at all, buy some dragon skin body armor, sure it'll cost you about $1200 but when it can take a grenade point blank and keep you alive, its worth it.

Screw the interceptor, dragon skin = you coming back alive, or your money back.

And Mysterious Old Guy, that was awesome.

I understand completely. I'd do the same thing for my own country. Though I hope I never will have to face that situation. Though I doubt I will, Sweden is a very peacefull country nowadays.

Anyhow, once again, good luck. I hope this will all come to and end as soon as possible.

I'd never do such a thing. Ever. Insulting people who's job is to take lives and risk their own in the process? The mere thought disgusts me.
