I recently purchased a new truck, and in my my wish lists for mods and lack of money to fund it, I have cars on the brain at the moment.
Being EVERY forum pretty much has a "what do you drive?" thread, I figure I will *Try* to go about this differently.

Just a few questions to start a conversation hopefully,
What do yo have now?
If nothing what would you like to have ( within reason)?
What are your favorite makes, models, ect.?
What do you look for in a vehicle?
What have you driven in the past and/or what is you favorite of the ones you have had ( if applicable)?

Just to prevent a text wall, I wont answer all of them myself just yet.

Currently I have a 1997 Toyota Tacoma. 2.7L 4cyl, 5speed manual, 4wheel drive, standard cab.

Although i have only had a license for about 3 years now, I have gone though a lot of vehicles ( and I still have never had a wreck or a ticket  )
In the past, in order from first to current, '96 hyndai accent, 98 mazda 626, 98 chevy s-10, 94 Oldsmobile achieva, 83 f250, 91 ford ranger, and my current toyota. My fav. has to be my old f250.

I drive one of those fancy-shmancy Plymouth Breezes, :P Nice four-door car if you have, er, children... but then again the back seats are good for housing all my books for this semester. Mileage isn't bad either at around 26.

And the paint's only chipping a *little!*

No licence yet but like that stops me :P

I am running a 1994 Ford Explorer XLT 4dr 4wd. 5spd manual. 4.0L V6 which puts down 160 BHP at the flywheel...i would guess 140 at the wheels. 122,xxx miles and runs good....i have drifted it XD
I have installed a new intake (looking for a cold air) and im now looking for a used turbo charger to install on my truck.
I have also installed a new headunit for my stereo and im looking at getting a couple of subwoofers and 4 new speakers and custom installing 2 tweeters and two speakers on the trunk lid.

I am right now saving for a 1989-1993 Nissan 240SX hatchback, a 1996-2000 Mitsubishi FTO (i would have to import from Japan), or a Nissan Skyline R32 GTS. Importing it from Canada and get the price as low as possible. One other car i would want is a 1st Generation (1988 i think) BMW M3...there 5,000 to get one...but I am not grabing one till im 18 so insurance isnt 1000 a month XD

When I look at vehicles I look for something that i can work on for the next few years. Right now my truck is perfect...i can crawl under without lifting it. I also want something with a working gas gauge T_T my truck's gas gauge broke....so i have to fill up every 200 miles. I also want something that gets better then 13MPG.

Nice wheels speed. What are you looking for with the turbo, mid range boost, high end, or even generating boost at idle?

If you dont already know about it let me recommend a tech site for your for your explorer. Ford truck enthusiasts
Used this site a lot back when I had my Fseries and my Ranger. Lot of them know of good performance mods and equipment vendors for parts you will need to turbo that thing.

Fuel economy is a plus anymore. My Taco tank can pull off 19 in town, which is way better than anything I have ever had before, but I still feel the hit to the wallet with the 20 gallon tank running dry in a week. Filling it up is nothing like my F250 though, dual tank beast... it was a 300 inline 6cyl with a with a granny 4spd out of a dumptruck in it. 13 mpg and almost $150 to fill it.

I haven't ever drifted my car but... well, I did put it into a ditch once. That was neat. Ooh, and I spun out on the highway outside of town a few winters ago! I AM SPEEDRACER

ohh 300 inline 6...the indistructable motor. i hate you :P

Mid range boost because that is where i need the power the most....i dont pass 4K RPM to often because my truck does not seem to like it...and there is no power past 4K RPM. it peaks at like 3.5K :P (5K RPM readline if you never had the V6)
Thanks for the site im going to have to look at it. I right now use explorerforums.com. And the awesome thing about the truck (if you dont count the repairs that were needed when i got it) i got it for FREE...1600 if you count the whole new brake system. yes...whole brake system had to be redone. XD my aunt and uncle broke it xD.

Well, I actually ride a bike, and a nice one too (2008 Fuji Roubaix RC). I'm on the cycling team, and collegiate racing is pretty fun. I don't need a car until I finish my degree, mostly because there isn't anywhere to go near campus. Back roads are everywhere, though, so flying down them at 40mph (or more) on nothing but two wheels and a piece of carbon is quite fun. If we tighten the peleton, we can reach up to 60mph on some hills. That is scary.

When I graduate, I'm looking at the 09 Mazda RX-8. It's not the greatest on gas mileage (16/22), but the high-revving, 9000rpm redline of a 6-speed 232HP turbo Renesis rotary engine is something to be admired. Not to mention the much coveted 50/50 balance.

As for my ideal car, that would be the 2008 Lotus Elise SC 220. It weighs under 2000 pounds, and is powered by a "tiny" supercharged V4. Yet, this tiny engine is all it takes to send this miniature rocket screaming 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. The real draw is the unparalleled handling, balance, and road grip. You cannot flip this car. And 20/26mpg isn't too shabby for a supercar.

What do yo have now? 1993 honda civic. Got it for 200 euros from a police impound auction, the price was so low is because no one wanted to buy it because someone was murdered in the back seat. All you had to do is clean up the blood and sanitize the back. The only problem is the coppery smell. I cant seem to get rid of that.
If nothing what would you like to have? Teleporter
What are your favorite makes, models, ect.? N/A
What do you look for in a vehicle? Can it get me from point a to point b?
What have you driven in the past and/or what is you favorite of the ones you have had? I have always had my honda.

I thought the RX-8 had a Wankel Rotary.
And the Lotus...NO! first its a I-4. 2nd its a Toyota Camry motor. :P they are epic cars though. RX-8 is awesome....4 seats (not like you can use the two back ones though) and suiside doors :D

I think they changed if for the 2009 model. I'm just going my memory, so I could be wrong, though.

Right now I'm driving a Nissan Maxima that's three years younger than I am and has over 150,000 miles on it. I don't really care what I drive as long as it works and gets me where I need to go. Of course.. If I had my choice, I'd definitely get a Nissan Sileighty.

I'm in a dark blue 2002 Ford Escort ZX2 (piccy!), and she's my baby. Smallest model Ford makes, little two-door gal with a great turning radius. The engine has an idle vibration so it shakes when it's in drive but not moving, but I think of it as a back massage. Also the steering wheel creaks. Oh, and she's got a hot spoiler...

Yes, it is possible to love a car too much.

As for cars I'd like to drive, I love the new Honda Civic, the one with the fun navigational panel. I just love Hondas in general...they're sturdy, reliable cars and that's really what I want. And a little bit of zoom

For years, though, my dream car was a yellow pick-up truck.
