Since we have a music thread of this variety, I thought the gaming board deserved something similar.

Here's a template to help keep the posts organized:

Thoughts:

Please feel free to discuss the game's others are playing; I'd prefer that this topic be more than just a dumping ground of posts with no actual discussion. Have fun with it!

So, to get us started, here's what I'm currently playing.

Tomb Raider Anniversary
Xbox 360
Action/Adventure, Platforming

Thoughts: It's a decent game overall, and the nostalgia value of seeing updated versions of all of the classic Tomb Raider levels is great, but it lacks the spark that made the original feel fresh and exciting. The platforming can be extremely frustrating at times, however, when Lara simply refuses to do what you want her to do, like, instead of grabbing the ledge in front of her, falling into a pit of lava.

I'm only one achievement short of 100% completion, but I'm not looking forward to getting it -- doing all the Egyptian time trials. The Egyptian levels were always my least favourite, next only to the Greece level "St. Francis Folly" (which has managed to become even more annoying than the original.)

It's the world's largest kiddy pool -- 5 miles long, and only 2 feet deep.

The main quests are way too short... I'm gonna go try either Crysis or GMOD soon.

I just finished No More Heros

I am thinking about digging out either the old copy of

A) Parasite Eve
playstation
horror survival.

Looks like I wont have time to do that homework after all....

OR

B) American McGees Alice.
PC
Fantasy horror

Nothing like watching Alice cut herself in boredom, in wonderland.....

What do you all think?

I love it, but its not as good as Tales of Symphonia. Not as emotionally intense, and it loves to drop you off, give you access to EVERYWHERE, tell you to go to a certain place, and not tell you where that place is, other than a generic compass direction..

Turn Based Strategy

Thoughts: It's been a long time since I revisited this, and my rustiness shows. Tactics from the previous title don't translate well, so the learning curve has been pretty high. Still, it's the best Turn Based Sci-Fi strategy game I've ever played.
