Manatu smiled as he looked at everyone, "That sounds like a great a idea, i've never been fond of deserts."

Seth smiled at everyone, "Well hello." He stepped into one of the vehicles, "I was told I was welcomed to tag along for awhile. I hope you all don't mind."

The closer Seth got, the more her unease grew, but so far, there was nothing to act upon. She wordlessly nodded, and pointed him towards an unoccupied seat.

"Manatu, unless you want to deal with your home city first, I'm heading to Lumnos. These rovers are fast enough we've the leeway if we need it to deal with them, but I'd rather have the time to spend resting and relaxing in my own home. The choice is yours." Telki crunched gears, and headed down the escarpment.

Manatu shook his head as Seth sat down next to him, "No, we've delayed long enough as it is Telki, lets just head to your home city."

"Hello." Seth spoke to Manatu after he got comfortable in his seat.

"Hiya." Manatu mummbled at Seth as he made himself comfortable.

Stomping on the throttle, Gary followed Telki, one arm on the steering wheel, the other hanging over the edge of the vehicle, "How far is this place, do you know?" he asked Ama.

Judging by the general direction we're headed, we're going home to Lumnos." Ama craned her head to get a good view of the final direction Telki took at the base of the escarpement. They really were headed home. She could feel her heart lifting already.

"It's hard to compare travel time between foot and rover. The rover is just so much faster. But, at a wild guestimate, I'd say we're looking at a couple weeks travel to the cloud forests.

Manatu started to doze off as he grew tired. His head fell back and rested on the back of the seat. He closed his eyes and let sleep embrace him as he kept his arms crossed in front of his chest.

Seth looked at everyone, taking in their features. He wanted to know what everyone looked like. Best part was...he was getting brought to a holy city. That sped things up...

Ama looked over her shoulder to where Clazon had propped himself, still brooding, and still trying to sort himself out. She felt she'd given him long enough to work through his troubles, it was time to bring him out.

With her usual aplomb, Ama set herself across from him, offered a smile, and opened with "An opal for your thoughts?"

Received a message from Lohti, he should be joining us again. I'm (hopefully) providing him a good opening.

((I think it's known by now that I'm back, Wynni. But thanks anyway.))

Clazon looked at Ama and laughed lightly, though anyone could tell it was a fake one. "You'd get change back, I'm afraid." He said, wiping his eyes, as if to ward off sleep.

you'd be surprised me darlin

Since he neither bit her head off, or told her to go away, Ama took it as an invitation to join him. She cuddled herself in next to him, and rubbed her cheek on his shoulder. "You've been crabby, worried, and frankly had me worried too. Tell me anyway. I wanna know. More, I wanna help.

"Nah... it's.. it's nothing, really. Besides, if I told you, I'd know what you'd say...." he said, looking down at her.

"though... nobody told me... who are you people? and what do you need these people... these... shadows... for? And who are those others chasing us?"

"You, like Telki, carry part of one of the original 11 gods' power. Telki was sent out to collect the other ten to restore the original gods back to power before the world fell completely out of balance, and we are all destroyed by it. The only thing left chasing us now, is that weird evil sillouette from y'alls' shared dreams. We destroyed the last Watcher, and their monstrous pet, on top of the escarpment.

Now, we are just headed to mine and Telki's home for a big celebration, and a massive ceremony that will, hopefully, fix everything.

Now that you had me recap all the stuff you already knew, why don't you try talking to me. I promise not to lecture. Perhaps hearing your own voice talk about it, will help you settle it. Worth a try, eh?"

Ama leaned her head back where he could see her bright blue eyes as she batted them at him, and gave him her most encouraging winsome smile.
If he could relax enough to smile, maybe he'd relax enough to sort through whatever was really troubling him.

((Sorry I haven't been here. Every time I wanted to post something, I always just ended up working on my story instead. Sorry.))

Sabbia yawned and stretched out before leaning on Manatu's shoulder and closing her eye. Yan frowned sourly, but didn't look up at them. He was busy cleaning her sword, which was laying in couple dozen pieces in Yan's lap as he used a fine brush to clean all of the sand out of the insides. The handle assembly was already cleaned and reassembled, but he had to reattach each piece of the blade as he cleaned them, which took a completely different set of tools to do. The six-foot cord, having only a few of the segments on it, was draped across his legs, and a whole host of smaller cords - the ones that kept the segments spaced properly - lay in an orderly pile beside him.

He gave the piece he was working on a sharp blow to get any little bits of sand out and slid a pair of the short cords down the centre. After sliding the longer cord through in the other direction, he attached the free ends of the cables to the segment below it, using a tool to clamp them in place. Following a quick tug to ensure it was secure, Yan grabbed the next piece and began cleaning it silently. Even though he knew the weapon inside and out, it still took an hour or two to clean it thoroughly.

"Well... all my life I've served Kovos unerringly, mostly because I knew that some good would come out of it... but gods? Shadows? this is all so strange to me... I'm not sure what we're trying to accomplish by bringing back these gods..... I guess, for a while there, I had been listening to the watchers because they were offering something I could understand..... I know that I needed power to protect Kovos better than I have, but... in this new business, I can't tell right from wrong."

Manatu opened his eyes and noticed Sabbia resting her head on his shoulder, he did his best to not wake her up as he got a bit more comortably. He couldn't help but blush when he looked at her. He quickly looked towards the sky. He couldn't help noticing how beautiful it looked.

Seth just relaxed in his seat as he waited patently. They were going to the place he wanted to get to. It worked out perfectly.

"Oh Clazon, you ARE protecting Kovos. The gods are part and parcel of our world. We've been limping along without them so far because their fragmented power buried in different people provided some stability. This won't be enough anymore because a crisis is coming. If we don't have the Gods back, in their restored state, everything, including Kovos, will be destroyed. By doing this, by helping us, you are keeping Kovos safe; you are keeping your word to your home.
