Just want to say hi at least once before I fall into being a lurker on yet another forum. And I've also taken note of your bot issues and I'm currently coding a bot that will go through the memberlist and find accounts that are definitely bots, ones that may be bots, inactive accounts, and so forth. I will definitely make sure that when it runs that it is throttled to at least 2 seconds between pages on the 2Kinds server.

When I finish I can always have the bot make a text file with the various lists for Tom or Sage to look through. I wish to be of service to those who support 2Kinds as well as I can with my limited free time by using my programming knowledge.

What? I may not spam as much as I used to, but I can't help it if I manage the first post before anyone else.

Welcome to the forum ^^.
Have fun around here!

Inactive accounts aren't really as bad as bot accounts though. Those people may wish to return someday :) .

Well 4 hours and 500 members later I have the lists that I need to catch most of these bots here (at least 400 of the members I looked at were bots). It will mainly use a combination of comparing the Occupation, Interests, Messenger, and ICQ entries. But for now I need to get some sleep before I drool on my KB again.

Welcome to the 2kinds forum. Don't mind the cold look of arrogance and disgust I am giving you, I mean no harm. You can trust me.

So, you've desided to clean out the bots for us. Sounds like a splendid idea. hope it works out the way you plan it to. I am looking forwards to seeing results of your efforts.

This will take a few weeks if I become busy as I recently became a store supervisor as well as the fact that I restore photographs on the side. But rest assured that I will have it done.
Oh, and another thing that might help Tom a bit with the sure to come massive bot armageddon would be a bulk deletion applet. All I would need is a copy of the web page used(with sensitive information removed of course) and know what browser he uses. Then I could make the source code for the applet, let him look it over, and then he can compile the source code into a working applet. My idea for the method would simply entail saving all the names for deletion in a .txt file each name on its own line, and then simply run the applet and select the proper .txt file for it to read the names from.

'Sup. I do stuff on the roleplaying board, and some literary criticism.

Be warned, as I am in a hot blooded mood right now.
