Technically, furry has three uses. The one that wasn't described by Garrett would be "Having fur or covered in fur."

Ba-dom...ksh...yeah...

(This should probably be discussed within PMs, though...)

[On-topic='1'] Ok, this game is quite odd looking, and looks like it might be a more graphical version of Warcraft 3. [/On-topic]

Okay, so two things:

1) They're not called Keidren in the game. Really. Sorry that I gave that impression -- I just meant that there were cat-people, i.e. tigers who walk on their hind legs as their normal movement (and throw rather nasty large shuriken).

2) It's not an RTS like Warcraft 3. It's a hack-and-slash like Diablo, with the strategic/diplomatic thing added on top.

REALLY it's worth a try, if you've got a Windows box or a Mac. The demo download is free...

I guess further discussion of the game would probably be more appropriate on the forums of the game itself.

Yeah it's pretty silly to call any anthro a Keidran just because Tom does. Lots of people come up with anthro races and gives em different names.

The game looks pretty boring like most but maybe I can try it out sometime later this week.

And furry can definitely be used as an insult just like gay can, just like otaku can, just like nerd can, just like geek can, just - do i really need to keep going? Anyone who says otherwise might want to think about it for a bit- just because they don't mind being called it doesn't mean its not an insult to others and it certainly wasn't meant as a compliment in that case. Generally when not used by a member of the fandom the term furry generally means "a screwed up person confused about their species-" im not even going into the other definitions people have come up with it - especially the one that defines them as a particular kind of pervert. But yeah- there's also the people that just like Role playing as an anthro, like the art/stories etc etc.

Is there some sort of hidden gamespeed option? Wow, my computer is apparently too fast for it. I guess I can get an external throttle if I need to, but it'd be nice if there were some way to slow it down to the point where I can actually type things, the flashing icons don't blink fast enough to cause seizures, and the environmental sounds aren't just a constant cacophony of noises.

You'd have just a little trouble with "Throttle Monkey" mode in Centipede, then, I take it?

Wow... something is seriously messed up there. I've got a 3-gHz dual-core iMac, and it's fine. Leave a message on their boards... maybe it's adjustable? That shouldn't happen.
