The whole freakin' topic is big. <_<

Which is why I like to get in fast with my "awesome update" post, maybe throw in a comment about the art, and get out before the plot discussion.

Although I like the conversation, how deep the plot goes and all these hidden secrets people come up with, I can't come up with anything myself.

I say it is irrelevant wheter Keith kills Natani or not, as it may disturb fanbase, but also, either way, someone is going to replace her, or her story is going to evolve.

Most things do that, remove the old character, put in a new one with same traits, different appearance.

Meh, my opinion is just a fore-sight.

I actually find this idea kinda interesting. Though I don't know how I would feel about a major character being absent from the comic for such a long time.

hmm yeah it's the pretty clear the humans are using the tower to control the genrenals, yep, can't been for any other reason like, oh say... these Basitin are just conolist and want to rebel form the homelands, nope.

I'm ranting now...

Just feel like if the humans are nothing more than the villains here, the whole comic's point looses it's meaning.

Humans are fine. Templar, on the other hand... Well, prior Trace was their leader for some time, after all.

So if Keith doesn't kill Natani, will they kill him and send someone else? I would imagine that merely banishing him again might not be effective enough for their tastes. Dunno why they'd try to be polite about it to the guy they're going to just send right off again. Not to mention, who'd have a hit out on her, anyway?

If Keith does kill her... Well, yeah.

This leaves us the option of getting some dark Basitan magic on, or fleeing again. Or the distinctly more awesome one of busting down that tower in the course of an hour.

Or she could fake her own death to buy time.

Seriously though, I thought about the repressed emotion theory and thought about an idea - the General's emotions are the law. Egro, he's just the messenger, a puppet of the Templar machination.

There's already proof that the Basitin in general aren't as heartless as we think:

I mean, attacking someone from behind... it doesn't feel right.

Why would this be said if the Basitin had repressed their emotions beyond expression?

I'm surprised you're out here fooling around...

Clearly, he not playing Keith as a pawn so much as following orders.

Not to mention that he need not have bothered telling Keith about the time limit if their main goal was to kill Natani. He seemed more concerned over Keith's ability to do the job! I highly doubt Natani is skilled enough to handle an entire military force wanting her head, especially considering that her reputation might have been inflated.

If General hated Keith that much, he wouldn't have bothered with the formality. His true purpose might as something to do with ensuring Keith gets his trail.

Not to mention that the trail is fishy at best. He ALREADY had judgment passed upon him. Presumably, his charges would be clear if he met an "impossible" condition - never mind the "hatred" he would incur. Yet on doing so, he has to kill his friend, await trail again, and still be deemed "being returned from banishment unfair." Why couldn't they just kick him out again? Occam's Razor: they can't.

I, for one, wish he'd try. At which point he is brutally slain by Natani. Truly, this is a happy ending.

@ Spoiltcheese: Don't forget he did call returning from banishment (i a completely legal way by the way) a "Mockery of out judicial system."

@ SgtHydra & Sable: Why do either of them have to die now? KEith is a fan favorite I.E. probably never going to die, or if he does it's gonna be like the last chapter. And Natani is a rising character who presents keith with both a moral delema and a love delema, without wich he would become a static character hardly changing at all since he's fulfilled his duty.
