Hey guys. Anyone else looking forward to this game?

Also thought I'd mention that the public beta for the 360 version of Red Faction: Guerrilla just went up on Fileplanet. If you register for a free account and fill out a questionnaire, you can get a key to participate as well.

Fileplanet's Beta Sign-Up

I grabbed a key and I'm downloading the beta as I type this. I'll post what I think of it and answer any questions you guys have. :) If you're in the beta as well, please post your thoughts.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

My 360 couldn't have picked a worse time to break. It was right on my birthday, I got 120 dollars to spend, Soul Caliber IV is out, and now this.

I've played several matches, and my feelings are mixed. The destructability is fun, but it doesn't really factor into the normal team deathmatch games as much as you think it might, leaving it a standard, if decent, run n' gun affair. There's another mode whose name I forget where there are several "control points," or buildings that you control by destroying your opponents and rebuilding it as your own... or something. It's different, I'll give it that.

No idea, sorry. :( I'd say to check gaming news sites like Joystiq, GameSpot, or others. That's how I found out about this beta, so maybe you'll find out about a PC one too. Best of luck!

I'm now level 8 (you get experience for each kill or time spent repairing/keeping control points), and I have to say that it's starting to grow on me. Damage Control, the game mode where you destroy and rebuild control points that your opponent has, is pretty fun when you have a team that knows what they're doing. They really need to improve the netcode though; it takes forever to get into a game sometimes, there are tons of random resets and disconnects... there's room for improvement.
