This RP is here as a sequel to what turned out to be a popular RP of mine (shock horror, one of my RP's was popular and went past 20 pages).
The previous one was Quang-Feng and most of the rules will be the same, however I will be assuming who won the tournament (not that it will actually 100% happen in the tourney).

===== Background Info =====
The Ban'tou Tournament has been set up in an arena on an island in the middle of the sea. The old structures and landscape of the island were destroyed and it was modernised, with roads and buildings being built on it, the most prominent of which is The Arena in the middle of the island.

The Arena is a unique structure on the island for the environment within is constantly changing, one fight it may be an open plain, the next a series of rocks in a large mass of water or a rainforest.
The fighting area in The Arena is a perfect square with each side measuring 250 metres. (that's roughly 0.15 miles)


The island was modernised by Natascha Wilkins after winning the previous tournament that was held there. As part of the prize she had won the chance to live on the island and decided that instead of that she would overthrow Diaz (the host in Quang-Feng) and kill him with the help of Rang, who is now the head of security on the island.

The tournament is being run a lot fairer this time than under Diaz's evil rule. There will be no deaths as a means of winning a fight and a member of security, or Rang himself, will preside over all matches.

===== Fight Procedure =====
Resolve your own actions within reason. That means that you can't ALWAYS dodge or make any auto-hit attacks.
Post your attack and intended target on your opponent and then let them resolve what happens and post their reaction and attack.
((Just ask if you don't understand this. Or you can read the Quang-Feng tournament for the fight between Tetsuya and Nuff that started on page 50 or so))

Also, there is no map for this, just post what you think falls under "modernised" and what you'd like the island to look like.

Oh, and this is 4 years after the first tourney.
OK, the two character that were mentioned in the first post in their new roles.

1 - THE NEW HOST
Name: Natascha Wilkins
Species: Human
Age: 25
Appearance:

Weapons: 2 Long Bladed Knives (about 1' long)
Main Martial Art/Fighting Style: Krav Maga (Click here for info)
Personality: Natascha is very out-going. She loves to talk and is kind to everybody. In fights however she gets very serious, yet still talks.
Virtues: Quick, Flexible, Well trained in the use of weapons
Vices: Physically not as strong as a male (though not too far off it)
History: Natascha began training in Krav Maga at the age of 8. She became a state champion at age 14. When she was 16 she became a national champion and is now a 5 time national champion.
She represented her Krav Maga school at several world-wide tournaments and came first in nearly every age division.
After the previous tournament Natascha overthrew and killed Diaz with the help of the old champion Rang, whom she had beaten in the finals. After taking control of the island she began redeveloping it and made it more modern.

2 - HEAD OF SECURITY
Name: Kor-Lee Rang
Species: Ger’Kah Male (details in appearance)
Age: 9170 human years, 24 in Ger’kah years (One Ger’Kah year is 383 human years)
Appearance: Rang stands 7’ tall and weighs in excess of 400lbs. He wears a black kimono and a red head band. His arms bulge with muscle mass and he has an eye in the back of his head.
The Ger’Kah are a race created, by accident, by Hell Worshippers. Over time these gentle beings were corrupted by demons and used by others as sacrifices to summon demons. This summoning has never worked and instead created the Ger’Kah, a race of beings that resemble humans yet are possessed by a Demon, resulting in slight transformations to appearance (large muscles, mutated faces, extra limbs, etc). All Ger’Kah are blessed with super-human strength and speed, making them worthy adversaries for fights and also making them a race of “perfect”, or near perfect, fighters. This is helped by the fact that Ger’Kah have a high resilience to pain.
However, the Ger’Kah believe that they can’t lose a fight, leading to them being overconfident and sometimes under-estimating their opponents.
Ger’Kah tend to stick together and form tribes. They tend to live in the desert as this is where they are least disturbed by others. As such they can go for weeks without any water.
Weapons: Rang carries a great axe but rarely uses it, instead relying on sheer strength and speed
Main Martial Art/Fighting Style: Karate, Wrestling and Boxing
Personality: Rang is reserved and rarely talks. When he talks it is to answer direct questions and to inform people of important information.
Virtues: Superhuman strength and speed, great resilience, eye in the back of his head, can go weeks without water.
Vices: Occasionally overconfident
History: Rang’s tribe learnt Karate and have specialised in this martial art. As well as this he took up boxing and wrestling, and knows how to throw a punch with power and speed as well as how to grapple.
Rang left his tribe to attend the last two Quang-Feng Tournaments, winning one and losing the next.
After overthrowing Diaz he took the position of head of security willingly and formed a security force from his own race, the Ger'kah.

3 - THE CHAMPION
Name: Hana Wills
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Species: Angel/Demon Half Breed (half human, quarter angel, quarter demon)
Appearance:

History: Hana never knew her parents as they both went their own ways soon after Hana's birth. Her father was a half demon, her mother a half angel. Definitely not the best of matches.
Hana spent the first 16 years of her life in an orphanage in Kyoto, Japan. Until she was 10 she lived what most would call a pampered life, having no real responsibilities and being allowed to have fun and roam the streets of Kyoto freely.
On her 12th birthday everything changed. Her ears changed from normal human ears into red pointed ears (the ones in the picture) and she was quickly shunned by the other children at the orphanage and some of the people in the city. She was given all of the most tedious and boring chores at the orphanage and was expected to stay within the orphanage walls due to her appearance. She began to wonder why she was different from everybody else, though nobody would talk to her at all, only about her or to tell her to do something.
She stayed at the orphanage until she was 16, tolerating every hardship that she had to endure. At age 16 she ran away from the orphanage in search of answers. She travelled around Japan for a time and then left in search of answers, making her way to China.
In China she met a kind half demon named Karlitch. He offered to teach her about herself, her demonic blood line and the abilities that she could, with enough time and practice, learn to use.
She spent several long years living with Karlitch in a cave near the Great Wall, learning what she could. Eventually she learnt and mastered the abilities that she now has (listed below under Special Abilities).
She is yet to learn about her angelic side.

Finding the island on her way home she stopped and decided to explore. It was being redesigned by Natascha at the time and Hana asked what went on at the island. The tournament was explained to her and she asked to compete in the next one. She was granted an even greater honor than competing she got to be the champion for the next tournament.
Personality: Hana is kind and considerate. She treats others fairly and justly.
She likes talking to others.
When angered she gets violent.
Fighting Style: Hana uses a variety of martial arts that she learnt in Japan and China as well as her sword.
Weapons: Her demonic sword Purgatory (the one in the picture). The demonic energy stored within the sword allows it to cut through all man made substances.
Sword Abilities: While holding Purgatory Hana can utilise the demonic energies within it to grow a pair of black demonic wings that enable her to fly.
Hellish Wind - When Hana swings her sword she can generate a dark red scythe-like blade of dark energy that can slice through most types of armor and people.
Special Abilities:
Dark Transfer - Hana focusses her mind and is able to teleport anywhere around the world. She disappears in a puff of dark red smoke.
Demonic Burn - Hana draws on her demonic blood line and can double her speed and strength while utilising this power.
She can push herself further and more than triple her speed and strength. However, doing this causes Hana pain when she stops using this ability and, if she goes on for too long, may even die.
Demon Fire - Hana conjures a ball of fire in her right hand that she can throw at her enemies. The fire is a dark red color and burns flesh easily.
Alternatively Hana can use this power to form a wall of fire or a weapon made of fire.
Virtues: Incredible speed, demonic powers, hand-to-hand combat, sword combat, intelligent.
Vices: Not as strong as a male, sometimes doesn't think before acting.

4 - THE COACH (SUPPORT CHARACTER)
Name: Karlitch
Species: Demon
Age: Well over 4000
Appearance:

Occupation: Coach and trainer to Hana
Weapons:]/b] Wears 2 jet black gauntlets on his wrists. Both have hidden blades in them (1 blade in each gauntlet, kinda like the Hidden Blade in Assassin's Creed).
The left gauntlet has the ability to project bolts of lightning from it and the right gauntlet bestows him with increased speed and strength.
[b]Main Martial Art/Fighting Style: Karate and Tae-Kwon-Do
Personality: Karlitch is reserved yet angered easily. When angered he is extremely dangerous.
Virtues: Protective of Hana, strong, quick and intelligent
Vices: At times is over protective of Hana, angered easily.
History: Karlitch met Hana in China and began training her. She was a quick learner and he was a good teacher. Ever since then he has kept an eye on her, one way or the other, and when he found out about her entering a tournament he travelled there immediately to continue training her and to train her better in some martial arts.

5 - CONTESTANT
Name: Saki
Species: Human
Age: 22
Appearance:

Weapons: A samurai sword and a belt of 12 throwing knives going from one shoulder to her opposite hip.
Main Martial Art/Fighting Style: Saki uses a mixture of Ninjutsu and Brazilian Jujitsu
Personality: Saki is an incredibly friendly girl who loves to make new friends and talk about absolutely anything, relevant to the situation or not.
Virtues: Damn fast, great leg strength
Vices: Hasn't got as much upper body strength as a male, occasionally distracts herself by talking during a fight.
History: Saki grew up living a normal life and at the age of 7 started learning Ninjutsu.
At the age of 10 she began learning BJJ as well as continuing her Ninjutsu training.

Name: Tobias ((Tobi for short))
Race: Incubus
Age: somewhere in the 350s
Gender: varies ((mostly male))
Height: 5'11" ((male)), 5'9" ((female))
Weight: 165lb ((male)), 147lb ((female))
General Description: ((not in pictures: wings (back and head), and second sword)) RP Description: this is the basic image of Tobias in public (male image), he seldom shows his wings unless absolutely necessary, and even then he makes sure to hide his head wings so as not to let other people know what he is. along the lines of weapons, he carries another special sword with him in addition to his dagger and throwing knives.


Fighting Style: Adaptation: Tobias never took up any real style, nor does he make his strikes routine, he pulls random moves to maneuver around strikes and deliver solid blows to his opponent. ((if there's a name for this let me know and i'll change it. currently i have it labeled as Adaptation, but it may possibly have a different title))

Weapons: Demon Fang: his demonic essence is infused with it, allowing him to cut through solid objects such as stone like sharp scissors with paper. ((the ruby inside the handguard is the source of the demonic essence.)). it can absorb most spritual/elemental attacks, and with a refractor effect, send back towards his opponent. aside from this sword, he carries a small dagger, about 1' long, and 2 throwing knives.

Special Items:
Grind Shoes: special plates in the center of the sole where his foot arches up allow him to grind on surfaces with ease without even needing to use a skateboard or rollerblades.
Wings: although he doesn't use them often, he can take flight with a simple gust of wind.

Story: around 325 years ago, he learned that he was an Incubus when his wings sprouted from his body on his 21st birthday. people distanced themselves from Tobias, thinking that he may try to kill them one day. despite this, he stayed true to his human lifestyle, and lived his life to the fullest. it wasn't long until he realized that he had to have sex quite a bit more often than he had to before his wings came out.

so far he's been living fine, aside from the heartache of watching mortal friends age and die around him. he currently works as a metalsmith for the city he lives in. but on occasion, he can be found competing in an underground fighting league. his skills in the league caught the attention of some scouts for the Ban'tou Tournament.

Personality: Male: a bit of an overconfident daredevil at times, he lives life without regrets, and likes to take risks, which usually result in him breaking something. Female: a flirt, she can get guys to fight each other for no reason if she felt like it. she plans her moves carefully, and waits for the time to strike. ((Tobias rarely changes into a female)).

Name: Tetsuya Kintame
Age: He can't remember, but he guesses over 567 years old.
Gender: Male
Species: Half-Demon
Appearance: Waiting for auronblades to get back to me with this. Has black hair, and yellow eyes, and a diagonal scar on his head, running from his forehead to his right cheek. Wears a white t-shirt, and black pants. Has three scars on his back; one large scar running from his right shoulder to his right side, one scar diagonally on his left shoulder blade, and the last running from his left side to his spine. Has black shoulder length hair, dog ears, a long black tail, and claws.
Special Info: Nose is extra sensitive. Turns back into a human each and every half-moon. Tupeizen will only allow Tetsuya to hold it, and will not accept anyone else hold it unless Tetsuya askes it to.
Personality: Mostly calm and collected. Likes to have fun, but if you make a crack about him being Half-Demon he will rip your face off.
Fighting Style: Uses his claws mostly. Uses his sword when in a weapon battle. He will use a mix of fighting styles if he feels the need to.
Weapons: A single-edged sword named Tupeizen, and a gun that uses his demonic energy for bullets called Arclight.
Special Items: A watch on his left wrist. Nothing special, unless you consider turning human whenever he wants something special.
Special Abilities: Darkness Claws: An ability that turns his claws black, and emit a black fire from them. This ability will rend almost anything to shreds.
Tupeizen's Abilities: Flame's Wrath: He will hold Tupeizen of his head, pointing the sword to the sky. Flames will then emerge from the hilt, and will wrap around the blade in a serpentine motion. Pointing the sword at an opponent, the flames will then burst out in a piller of fire.
Reaping Whirlwind: He will hold the blade to his right, and will a samurai stance. Wind will then encircle itself around the blade. Swinging it with the swords broadside, sickles of wind will form, and fly out at the opponent, cutting it mark to pieces (considering it's target is weaker than hell).
Strengths: Can smell and track down anything. He can also run at an alarming rate, and jump at least two stories.
Weaknesses: If he smells something that is too strong he will blank out.
History: He was once a traveling human merchant in the Feudal era of Japan. He was returning home from a sale, and had to hike up a mountain. On the edge of a cliff, he saw a rusted and beat up old sword. As all humans, he was curious, and pulled the sword out. That was the day he was turned into a Half-Demon. Shortly after he returned home, his family noticed his change before he did. His parents were fine with what happened to him, but his brother, who he had a close brotherhood to, turned his back to Tetsuya. After a while he met a Wild Cat Anthro-priestess named Hana, and spent much of his time with her. (I'll cut off here. If anyone wants to know the rest, here is the page that explains it all. http://2kinds.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t ... &start=153 ) Now, in the present, he wanders around from country to country. During the events of Redemption RP, he has developed a close relationship with Aarna (Nuff's character).

Support character is still pending. If the Redemption RP were to move along up to Japan, we could introduce our support character on it.

Name: Daniel Knight (don't laugh, it's just a name I've been thinking about and idk why)
Species: demon (took on a pseudo-human shape at around age 200)
Age: a few hundred (lost track after 263)
Appearance: His basic shape and skin color is that of a white male, in fact, except for his fingers (more clawlike than a human's), you could say he were human. He is about 6 ft tall and 165 lbs, has black hair and black eyes, and wears clothes that are half-black, half-white (split down the center). he has no real scars or other distinguishing marks (oh, forgot something. He has one scar, but it's from where a dagger went through his hand while he was juggling)
Weapons: a belt of daggers, and a single shortsword (which is important to him)
Main Martial Art/Fighting Style: He doesn't really have a "fighting style". He likes to fight as he feels is natural.
Personality: He's a nice person, but has a little too much fun in dangerous situations (such as fights). he doesn't like people who decieve him either.
Virtues: very limber (double-jointed. ^_^), good hand eye coordination, agile, excellent with thrown weapons
Vices: not the strongest close-combat fighter (except when he has his weapons), he likes old-fashioned weapons more than the new ones, overconfident sometimes
History: He is an entertainer, meaning he entertains himself by scaring people with the things he does (likes to juggle his daggers, for one thing), and they seem to like paying to watch. He has been doing it for about 100 years, and he's gotten good at it. (fair enough?)

((Tetsuya, any reason yours reminds me a LOT of Inuyasha? :roll: ))

Tobias' up, and ready to be approved. since people will most likely not be using any type of elemental powers i removed the swords refraction ability from the character thread profile.

Bane, history is for your characters history. Anything about the way they grew up is good. Just read a few other histories for help there.

sorry for the sudden change Optix, but i reapplied the refractor power to Tobias' sword. if i ever fight Tetsuya i'll need something to counter Arclight

i think it's a bit vague, but i'll let Optix tell you what he wants outta you.

when you're done i suggest posting him in the character thread at the top of the thread list. that way you wont forget should you want to use him again.

RP Tetsuya is what we go by here on the forum most of the time. If I brought original in, he would screw everyone up. I mostly just use him to bring the order back in the newbies board. Though that just seems to create more chaos. Oh well, what can you do. Admittedly, RP Tetsuya's history does seem to reflect Inuyasha in some ways, but there are huge differences between the two. Just check them closely, and read what history I have posted in Quang-Feng Tournament. The link is up there, we know it is. We made sure that they're not the same. We can't beleive we had to explain Tetsuya again.

Plus, Tupeizen and Tetsaiga are not even the same. Tetsaiga is a FANG, not a samurai sword. Tupeizen is much cooler than that sword.

Name: Eukota "Pup/Blitz" Motishro
Species:Black Timber Wolf
Age: 19

Appearance:5'11-6'0,210lbs, Muscular yet lean. Redish-Gold Eye color(Fiery),Red markings under his left eye, arms, and down into his left leg. Tape bounds both hands up to the elbow and from the knee down to mid foot. (doesn't wear footwear) Red fingerless gloves with 2 rifles crossing behind a skull wearing a beret is found on both hands. Wears Black Cargos with Urban camo just on the left pants leg with a streak of red down the center of it...the right pants leg is cut at the knee like shorts and just has tribal lettering in red down the side. His shirt is a cut sleeve top with a light hoodie attached. It's black with touches of camo and red.

Weapons:His main weapon is his hands and feet, suprub in CQC with or without a weapon, Though he does use a combination of 2 short sword katanas (little longer than a service knife)

Personality: A haunted individual. From the darkness of his fur, cloths and past it's clear something in him doesn't quiet click right anymore. His sharp red eyes hide a force that wants to get out. Though quiet, charming, and approachable for the most part, who he is in and out of combat are two different people...A quiet and gentleman young wolf goes into the ring and what comes out is that of Corrupted bloodthirsty soul.

Virtues: His free form combat style combined with his knowledge of a unique form of Martial arts makes him a powerhouse at close range, often not needing weapons to do the job. Agile and deceptive, combat has molded him into a instinctive fighter. Very Quick. Strong. unpredictable and aggressive. Uses his aggressive and fast footwork(style) to get in close and take the fight to the enemy.

Vices: The time he spent in combat as worked in both positive and negitave ways on his mind, at times driving him into feral fits of rage and emotion. His method of fighting often flows to a high beat and almost unbreakable rythem though this is still his downfall...A unbalance rythem in battle can insure a opening for his enemy.

History: Often referred to as Pup due to his young age, he's accomplished much for himself and his family. At a young age he witnessed combat, bloodshed and the death of his father and the abandonment of his mother, leaving him to the raiders of his village. The warriors of his tribe, those who survived either subjected themself to die or to be molded into the raiders ranks.

Eukota still only a small child was taken into the arms of a older gentleman who he soon grew to know as father and master. The man was one of kindness and honor, one who did what he did to survive. The man was the leader of a neighboring tribe. As soon as Eukota began to become familiar with the people of this village he was subjected into the youth milita needed for all males as early as the age of 4 or 5...Eukota was 3 when he entered and was fathered constantly as he was taught the ways of Capoiera. Through the years as he grew mentally, physically and spiritually he soon became one of the most powerful soldiers in the village. Soon after his graduation his first orders were to attack a village nestled in the mountains not too far from his old home. Upon arrival he found his mother in a home in the midst of the now burning village, elderly and nursing to a young cub sitting near her.

The rage he felt was almost too much to bare, he heard not his mothers words as she took grasp of him, yelling and hitting his chest to listen, he heard nothing but a demonic voice and lighting overhead as he dove his blade into her... His mother slumped bleeding in yet he felt nothing...only seeing darkness and the face of the young girl who looked at him with a blank stare.

With his mother dying he took the girl into his care and soon defected from his village, wandering the world in search of something to cleanse his now corrupted soul.
