No fireworks for me this year. I'm at Million Man Lan with Kuro in Louisville, Kentucky for the weekend, so the only fireworks I'll be seeing will be the in-game explosions on my computer screen :P

Aerials are banned this year, due to drought... So, It'll be those bouncing flower ones that change color, and a whole crap load of firecrackers...

All aerials and explosives are banned in Wisconsin without a permit. We're easily entertained so we just hit the local tents and raided the small stuff. I picked up a dozen Mammoth smoke bombs, lit one off today. With no wind, it just plumed straight up, leveled off, and slid past the house. Freaking sweet XD

We want proofs next time XD Never saw a smoke bomb, except from movies, but the real ones should be even nicer ^^

Well, laws here do not prohibit the use of fireworks, so we have a grand plan for the 4th. Our local dealer, Firecracker Bill, was having a buy one get one free sale (on everything), so we walked away with $700 worth of fireworks for half that price. 75 morter shells, a few dozen bottle rockets, 20 or so roman candles, smoke bombs, firecrackers, 600 Saturn missiles, we got everything!

And, to top it all off, my buddy and I got bored yesterday, and ended up going to Lowe's and buying a bunch of PVC piping. We spent a few hours with a dremmel, metal saw, and some PVC glue and made a pretty accurate replica of the rocket launcher from Halo 2...to use for... not fireworks. We hope the cops don't show up. Again. For the third year in a row.

Oh, I'm sure you're somewhere on their annual "Let's see if we can find some more donations for the station cappuccino machine this year!" list.

Even though everywhere around here has canceled their fireworks due to drought, since our display occurs over the bay, it's still a GO!
X3

...of course, with all the smoke from the fires around here, we might not be able to see them...
XD
