Just noticed that the userlist is 134 pages(when set to display 25 users/page). That's somewhere between 3325 and 3350 users.

Now, I know this is a popular comic, but still...

It may be an idea to upgrade to PHPbb3 even if the only scheme available (ProSilver) sucks unleaded, as it has a much better captcha and some other nice features...
(Unconfirmed users doesn't show up in the members list, but they do show up in a special list in the Administrators Control Panel, so they're very easy to delete... )

Actually, I noticed it when I browsed the user list to see if I was registered here or not, and if so when...
(I have a couple of variations of my username and the password I used depends on when I registered, too... )

Edit:
Need new glasses... There are 50 users/page in the listing...
Which means there are probably over 5000 spam accounts on the forum...
(The PlanetFurry.com forum, which is where I usually hang out, only have 1724 users, and it has been in operation since 2000. )

Well...

You did use a 'lol', which is borderline, but at least you didn't go full out 133t or however it's misspelled these days...
