Just reading through Pushkin's "Eugene Onegin" in translation.

Guess what hit my eyes? PS., Fastchapter, avert yours.

So even back then, poor Flora's frontage wasn't her best asset :-)

Hm...quite fascinating. Of course, we all know it's a different Flora, but still, I can see the comedy in this passage. Good eye, Gramps.

I guess I'm allergic to boobs, XD

I take different meaning of the word "firm" just out of spite.

Who's firm? The girl, or you? 'Cause, one way it's funny, the other way it's hilarious...

Not really sure which, though. =^.^=

Lol, gotta love innuendos.

But, someone's gotta photoshop Flora into a picture of the author of that book. And you'd better make the scene lewd!

Your wish is my command (except for the lewd part... come on, it's a classic :-) ).

Anyway, here's looking at her:

Kinda looks like she's having a nightmare...

XD I looked at it and for a moment thought she was going to fall into debt, be raped by her debtor, and be shunned by her family *for* her debt until she kills herself in a shabby apartment.

Yeah, that cover looks too much like my copy of "The American." :P

Does any book with a happy ending *ever* make it to "classics" status, or only the depressing stuff?

either way, the ones that get mentioned the most are downright wrist slashingly distressing.
