I read somewhere that early on they were meant to be doglike--but then when they had Dog and Wolf Keidrans, that ceased to be, and now they're not meant to resemble ANY specific animal....

Yeah. It was in a note on Tom's DA, attached to the pictures of his Basitin girls from long, long ago.

At this point, it is as the others have said, the Basitin are not based on any particular animal, notably unlike the Keidran.

No, you have a good point.

"They" is THE MAN!!! "They" just want to ruin your life to make theirs easier. "They" have agents everywhere, so you can never be too careful. In fact, I can't say any more here. Meet me at midnight inside the Sad Cafe for some more info...

Viva La Fighting the Man!!!

I say they're Chinchillas.

They got the longish ears, the longish tails, and the civilness to boot.

(smart enough to take dust-baths, and hate water.)

huh...you noticed that too? i only found one problem with that though, Keith DOES take baths in water.

if you ask me, the basitin take the role of the rodent category of mammal animals. they're shorter than all of the other species, which proves my point even more. but i'm just a reader, what do i know.

((off topic, but i own a chinchilla myself, he's a bit skittish.))
