For those of you (all 4 of you) that were going to be in my last RP, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to do that at a later date. Preferably with more people. And a bit less work. I'm working on a program that will do everything for me, and when it's done, I'll get back to that one.

But enough about my failures, and on with my idea.

Death Note. I have an idea about how to do everything, but right now I'll leave you with the "factions":

Death Note users: There won't be very many of you, and there are criteria for becoming one.

Shinigami: There will only be 2. At max. In order to become a Shinigami, you can't be new here, I have to have RPd with you, I have to like you, and I have to trust your judgment. That's because the Shinigami will choose the Death Note users. More on this later.

Police: Duh. You try to catch the users. There are rules.

Politicians: Duh. You give orders to the police, and try to run the country.

And last but not least, criminals: Duh. You won't live long... probably... Depends on the Death Note users. But if you pick this one, I'll compensate you, so don't fret this one.

A special note on Police and Politicians: You can't hide your names. That's all.

For those of you that don't know what Death Note is: Basically, a Death Note is a special notebook that will kill who ever's name you write in it. In order to kill someone, you must know both their name and face. There are quite a few other rules, but I won't bore you with the details until later.

Also: NO CHARACTERS FROM THE ANIME. The only one that will show up is L and maybe Near. And they will be my characters. Think of 'em as the GM characters.

Can I be a shinigami?

I'm interested... a deathnote would solve so many problems in my life :lol:

But I do know it involves some guy with a book that kills people.

for obvious reasons. That, and i don't know the first thing about deathnote. I do know that the shingami are generally cruel, though.

Seriously, though, Death Note is one of my favorite shows, except for Mello, who I feel sorta doesn't meet the standards set by the other characters. I would love to be part of an RP like this.

1) Politicians, controlling the police? Aren't there laws in place against this?
2) Will not participate (As that would hypocritical), but again I will offer assistance to you in moderating things.
3) Shouldn't you be posting in the Hunt?

No, just give general orders. Kinda. This is obviously not the real world, so the laws aren't the same. Really, it's just so we have some filler people that can be manipulated by the users so that they won't get caught. It obviously won't work entirely, but you get the idea.

Well, yeah, they are usually cruel and sadistic. But being a Shinigami, your main job will be to freak people out, say creepy things/comment, and give your extra Death Note to someone. You will mainly observe.

Also, as a Shinigami, if you kill to stop whoever from killing someone, you will die. Instantly. However, you can kill someone without the purpose of saving someone and be just fine. However, I discourage this as it takes some of the fun out for the users.

Also, you can be one if you want.

So why was my answer just a simple "NO".

Is it cause you don't trust my judgement or cause you don' like me?

couldn't you have investigators to give orders instead of politicians? It seems kinda cool to have an "L" -ish figure giving out the orders, and would make sense.

Hmm, count me out a a shinigami (yeah it's spelt wrong) then i have so little rp exp, but it i get my hand on a death note muahahahahaha. I will write the user names of so many facpunch users muahahhahahaha. Wait, what if someone writes Tom's name.

Yeah... Investigators might be better. And there will be an "L"ish figure. I'm going to play that part, since he's supposed to mystically figure things out, and since I'm the GM, you guys can't really argue with me about god moding, since "technically" I am "god".

And Optix, it's kinda complicated. I don't really trust your judgement too much, and really, after giving a Death Note, you don't get to do too much, I think you would get bored and just start killing people randomly. That and I don't know how much I'd trust you with that much power.

The Shinigami of Death Note are technically immortal, can kill anyone just by seeing their face, can't be killed, can't be seen ('cept by the owner of the Note, or someone who has touched it), and are basically ghosts when it comes to moving around. Oh, and they can become addicted to apples. :D

I wouldn't get bored and if I did something I shouldn't then I'll fix it if you tell me.
I'm not going to try to abuse any power I get.

Also I can handle getting addicted to apples.

Near is my second favorite character, right behind L. Ryuk is third, and I'm still not sure why they had to have Mello or Misa in the show.
