if anyone here plays on BYOND, you should know about Mitadake high. If not, then I'll explain the premise. There are between 2-16 high school students in a high school. After a teacher is murdered, the school is locked down and only the 2-16 students remain, and one of them is the killer. Everyone starts out in a classroom (not the same one, around two people per room) and they're all trapped unless they can find out who the killer is, before he/she kills them all. There's also a security room that has the tapes from the murder in it, but they both say different people commited the crime. There's a 40% chance tape one is right, a 40% chance for tape two, and 20% they both got it wrong. Further explanation and an official sign up thread if enough interest is spurred. :)

Edit: Seriously, people, if anyone would be interested in this, please leave a response, negative or positive feed back is appreciated

sounds like Case Closed with Conan.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Case_Closed

but the RP itself would be kinda short lived....

I won't have internet till Monday, visiting grandparents in Yakima, so there's no chance a sign up / OOC thread would be open before then. Besides, I need to perfect the transition from crappy-graphics to text RP before I get anything up. And I saw that wiki page, and I really don't see the connection. I think it looks more like "The Usual Suspects" sort of who did it kind of thing, with everyone at each other's throats. And normally, when I play on BYOND, someone gets killed over what the tapes say, but it'll turn out they were probably innocent, making not only the killer be a killer, but whoever killed based off of the tape. Things get really fun and intricate if no one godmods and "sees" a student get killed by the killer.

Yeah... Godmoders... Got to be careful o' dem... I think we got a few, but they do it unintentionally most of the time.

You just need to outline what godmodding entails in this one, and what it doesn't, because obviously someone is going to be killing, so he should get to do the whole "I strangle you to death. You don't get to fight back." kind of thing, because a fight would draw attention to the killer and take the fun out of this RP.

While seeing the killer strangle the person to death would be godmodding unless you just happen to be lucky enough to be walking by the room, not knowing the killer was in there, and before the strangling. And even then, I'd call god mode.

All the fun is in not knowing who it is, so there is no point in godmoding.

And I'm babbling again...

Me want a spot as crazy, non-English speaking kid who knows a little broken English.

Dude...this is way too coincidental to be a coincidence (I know that sounded weird). Last time I played on BYOND, someone played as a french guy who knew around three words of english. He started beating me to death with a metal baseball bat, and I have no idea what he was yelling.

well I assure you that my idea was my own and I don't know anything about that other RP you're talking about.

Plus my guy will probably be speaking more than 3 words of English

Okay, I think I've come up with a rough sketch of what the sign up would look like:

It's a normal bright sunny day in Mitadake high when without warning, the sound of gates closing echoes throughout the school as the automated window bars activate. A static voice is heard over the announcement system "School shutdown initiated. Staff body member found, tape saved to security room. Locked down until police arrive (police never arrive till end of game)." The students remaining at the school are horrified at these words. In the space of ten seconds, the building turned from a school into a graveyard waiting to happen.

character sheet (again, rough draft):

Name (asterisk by it if you want to apply for killer, who will be informed via PM):

species (does't matter, go with personal preference as long as it doesn't give your character a big advantage)

Age (15-19):

Appearance:

History (optional, don't have to do if you don't feel like it, only do this if there's something important, such as knowing another language, and not english very well):

Personality (not set in stone, may evolve through the game):

any suggestions, please tell me!

Name: Spiro Tzounos

Species: Human

Age: 18

Appearance: 6'2", 160lbs, neck length blonde hair, brown eyes, wears a plain white T-shirt and blue jeans.

History: Spiro was born in Greece before moving and enroling in Mitadake High. He only recently came to the school, about 3 weeks ago, and doesn't know many people. He can speak fractured English but mostl he speaks Greek.

Personality: Reserved, minds his own business, aggressive if provoked.

So, approved?
And no I don't want to be the killer

well to each of you:

Optix: that was just the rough draft, and this isn't the sign up / OOC thread. However, you would completely be approved, that character seems great.

Star: try looking under the "anime" section. It appears as a featured game for me about 85% of the time.
