I found out this afternoon that my brother got bashed on the train for telling some kids off for vadalising. This pisses me off so much...I risk my life to protect the country I love and the people in it can't even get along. This is a clear example why deliquency should be a crime.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

I don't quite understand what you mean by "bashing." What exactly happened?

I'm guessing the delinquents didnt' like being told to quit, and they hurt his brother.

I think the little snots ought to be put in hospital, for several broken bones.

I would prefere stapling their tounges to the third rail (the one thats electrified). Its a much more perminante solution.

No matter how hard you fight, or how many soldiers die, there are just some people who don't care. Now, they're most likely young, and thus still oblivious to the world around them (probably by choice). As long as they can keep "representin' the hood" and acting tough, why should they care people are dying for them? Egotistical punks like that will just take a little more to see that the world doesn't revolve around them, and I'd like to be there when the finally figure it out.

But if all they "understand" is violence, I say talk back in kind. I feel sorry for anyone who tries to pick a fight with my brother, who has almost 14 years of martial arts under his belt (pun totally intended).

Ahh hell, most kids these days are irresponsible punks, it's turned into a well-deserved stereotype. It's sad, really, and makes me wish I had grown up in the 60's and 70's. I mena, people were the same, but at least everybody was too LSD'd out to notice...

Whoops, there I go with the stereotyping. =^.^=

Ahh, so he got beaten up?

Yeah, kids somehow attain brass balls when they're in groups, even if the guy standing up to them has ten times the guts they'll ever have without their posse. Sucks that it happened, but your bro shouldn't forget that he did the right thing.

Well i use to live in an area in california in a city and man this school was absolute terrible. there were metal detectors, fences to keep kids in and drug dealers out, and for some bizzare reason the principle thought it would be a great idea to let all of the grades out in the same lunch so the 5th graders can steal lunch money from the 2nd graders.

thank god i moved out of that area when i was in 3rd-4th grade.

I say take people like that and force them to go into some sort of military infantry. If they don't straighten up quickly, they won't be alive for much longer anyways, just shove them all into one Brigade after their trained to keep them away from the voluntary service members (so they don't get others killed as well if they don't straighten up)

Believe me, there were some people that used to be just like them in my basic training, and everyone started out disliking these people because they always got us in trouble, but once they realized the rest of the platoon, and even company, didn't give a crap what these self-proclaimed "gangsters" said they did back home or whatever, they quickly stopped trying to be the center of attention as much as they used to, and became a much better person for this reason and many others.

I would almost be willing to bet a paycheck that most of these kids would become better people if they went through BCT...

To be fair, that could be said of almost anyone. I'm certainly no "gangsta", but I'm fairly sure I could get at least one thing out of BCT. If I had 8 weeks to spare, I'd certainly consider it.
