Right. My RPing activity has died down of late, and I am finding myself idle. I thought More than Human would keep my interest, but I am finding it surprisingly effortless to manage. It requires a light hand, but the true danger in that RP it seems in the players themselves. That sort of thing makes me feel warm inside.

So I’m going to start up another RP. Not a game like I was planning earlier, that will have to come later. I do have all the rules set up for it though, so at least that part is done. Funny how things work out.

There are three options buzzing in my head. The first two are decidedly Thaumapunk, and the third is based off a video game (I know, shameless) that I’ve been playing.

The First Idea is Law Enforcement. The players would be para-military troopers who function in a role similar to a SWAT team. The Game would be set up into equal parts investigation, planning, and execution. Teamwork would be essential.

The Second Idea is Crime. The Players would be a group of daring thieves A la Firefly, and trying to make it in the world. Perhaps they would have an airship. Teamwork is not needed, but recommended

The Third Idea would be S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl, because it is awesome. Players would start off in the zone and we’d play it by ear from there. It would be very grim, gritty, and tactical. Teamwork is optional. Survival is a must.

So… Does that interest anyone?

I like the crime and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. one, the law enforcement…. It’s a bit clichéd in my opinion. But hey, what is left of the world that hasn’t been used yet? I always liked to see the behind bars story, also because I don’t know what S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is.

STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl was a first person shooter game that featured realistic bullet physics and A dynamic world. It was based in a alternate future where there was a second Chernobyl acident.

a more detailed explanation is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.T.A.L.K. ... _Chernobyl

Didn't Lohti already make a Law Enforcemenet one?
Ah whatever.
I've played S.T.A.L.K.E.R.(I HATE TYPING IT OUT.) but I never got too far past the beginning because my video card is fail, and I keep getting killed in that FIRST MISSION.
But it would be pretty good if I knew the rest of it.
Also, Crime is pretteh good.

I went with law enforcement, but I think it would only really be great/epic if it were done like Rainbow Six. Also, some investigation during the mission would probably be good i.e. files of a neo-terrorist group on a captured laptop, or a captured criminal.

Because Rainbow Six is awesome.

hmmm... the Law enforcement thing doesn't sound like my cup of tea. The Crime one might be pretty good
The STALKER one...well I never played that game so I'd have no clue how to RP, but that one sounds fun to do

So the first day ends and Law Enforcement takes the lead, followed by STALKER and Crime in equal parts.

That was what I had in mind. Investigation would probably be primarily intel and the location. I would supply everyone with maps, and things would be very episodic in nature.

For a added spin, and because Modern day seems to be the flavor of choice, I was thinking I might do this in a thaumapunk setting. Just for the lols.

My thoughts exactly. I'm rather drawn to thi as a RP because of its grim nature. Also, I want to describe radation sickness
