“… Hi welcome to fox 91, the fox channel of Luxor. We are about to interview 3 people that made amazing discoveries. First off, we shall be interviewing Dave Irwin, who recently went within the underworld. Dian?” the newscaster announced. “Thank you, I am here with Dave Irwin. Dave, what was the mission to the underworld? He was then stuck in his house for over 4 years for odd reasons but we manage to calm him down and he is back on track.” Dian the interviewer questioned. “Well, the theory behind the questionable beast in the underworld might possess some type viral or antiviral bacterial slime. And the only way to find out was to get a swab of the beast’s slime. I volunteered to be the first one to actually meet this beast in person, after all the legends of it being the demon of hell; I wanted to challenge this foe. After I went down the dead shaft, I was very uncomfortable; the air was filthy, full of rotting flesh; and the farther I went down, glowing red eyes boomed upon me. They were like demons eyes, glowing to make me go down farther, I thought the beast had a million eyes, but I was wrong, it was giant mushrooms. Now I bet you are thinking, how is a bunch of mushrooms scaring the brave Dave Irwin, well these aren’t natural mushrooms; these mushrooms have eyes and teeth, and look extremely vicious. But nothing was as scary as the giant plant like mushroom, it looked like a mushroom, but when it opened its top, it looked like a giant venues fly trap. It started to attack me, but I scrapped a bunch of slime off it and came back home. Well you probably know the rest of it, but now for my next show, I will go and show you the manta ray.” Dave Irwin explained.

“That must have been frightening!” Dian said with awe. “It was, but I still came threw.” Dave cheered.

“In other news, a scientist has found a new cure, but a cure for what? Cancer? Liver sliver? Mad cow disease? Lets find out.” “Hi, I Bob, I am here today at the research center in the first floor of The City. As you have heard, great minds of Luxor have found out the cure, but a cure for what, they have not truly told us. All they have told us is that it is the greatest cure of all. Ahh here comes one of the scientists.” He announced outside of the research center. “We, the scientist, have found a new cure. After a brave man got a sample for what we need, we found something amazing. We have tested the cure on a group of individuals a long time ago and had no side effects. This will be the new dawn of Luxor, No the entire universe! We should be able to make a mass production once we clone the cure.”

“And finally, High tech in the under city? We shall report to rexluthra.”

“Thanks, I am here to tell you that a man has just recently found a supper old computer that seems to be connecting to the sewers and the underworld. We shall talk with the historian, Michel Luxorian.”
“Hello, I have recently found this giant super computer, however it is translating weird hieroglyphics. But it seems to be a part of Earth’s old history. Some of the language comes from old Hebrew language, back in the time of Moses. That history is on earth, however, and takes a great deal of money to bring it over here in one peace. We also my encounter, while retrieving the book, is the inability to translate the book. However we will get this machine up and running and we will find its secrets.”

“Now my question is,” the newscaster questioned the people, “Do all of these findings relate to each other? We will soon find out.”


The Television flickered and the screen turned into a blizzard. Angry devilish eyes glowed like the pits of hell, and the slime pored out of its mouth. It looked up to the shaft and saw a rope from four years ago. Its eyes grew fumed and open its mouth and bellowed a humongous yell that could be heard throughout the entire pyramid. It then looked at the television once more. “tessst ssssubjectssss eh?” steam covered its face and disappeared. “Then welcome to the pyramid, welcome to Luxor!” it then laughed sadistically.

Ryu was making the kid's favorite dinner tonight: Hamburgers. He flipped them expertly over in the pan, then left them to sizzle while he checked up on the kids themselves.

Yangila was wrestling with Yinshii over what appeared to be a small wooden toy. Breaking them up, Ryu looked between them.

"Now why are you getting all excited over a toy for?" He asked Yangila.

"'Cause Yinshii stole it from me!" Was her angry response.

"Nuh-uh! you stole it from me!" Yinshii fired back.

"Easy, kids, I'll pick up another toy tomorrow. Burgers are ready, don't you two want to eat?" he said, standing up and, sure enough, the burgers had just finished.

They sat down to eat quietly in the dim-lit small dining room/kitchen that extended from their living room.

"Hey dad? When are you gonna get a promotion?" Yinshii asked. The family had been doing their best to survive, but funds were slowly starting to go downhill again, even after Ryu started fighting in the arena. Though he'd never told them that. He never told them he wasn't human either.

"I don't know, Yinshii, money's tight around the company right now. There's been talk of laying people off."

"They won't fire you though, right dad?" Yangila asked

"No, of course not." he responded, smiling.

At least, I hope not. I'm already risking my life regularly as it is.

"Alright you underworld leeches, up off your backsides." yelled Rattrap. H was in a bad mood, the units had been scheduled for an escort run for some high ranking diplomat that wanted a tour of the 'burbs. Lousy diplomats. Weilding a short stick liberally, among the staggering mechon pilots he waited until they were lined up before breaking the bad news, "Somebody up top likes us. We got escort duty." ignoring the chorus of groans- they were sort of like a family, for all his pressure on them- and continued, "Get your mechons running ASAP, I want to run a brief squad traingin op before we have to go meet the package."
"Why are they tasking a mechon platoon for a diplomat?"
"Beats me. Get your [censored] in a machine and we'll find out later. Brass thinks they might want us to try a run in to the holes sometime, see if they can find out what's living down there. Besides the rats." he replied to the young corporal who had asked the question. The unit chuckled at the rodent reference and filed out behind the towering Jahorian who had appeared out of seemingly nowhere to take command of thier unit.

Andrea shut off the TV in the top corner of the shop and began to close the shop up for the night. The porcelean plates and figurines giving off a dim glow as the shutters began to close across the windows. She flipped the little sign saying "open" to "closed" and then shuttered the door and bolting it shut. She heaves a relaxing sigh and scratches one of her dog ears " Another day another nickel I guess....hopefully I can get some money in before they get back or else....*shudders * who knows what'll happen "

She walked back to the cash register and opened it and once again sighed ugh...only $158.34 in the register, that's only $8.34 more than I put in there yesterday. I can't live like this.... Andrea goes into the back room and climbs up some stairs in the back, entering another room that led to a small two room apartment. She gazed at a pile of junk in the corner and smiled " Ah...hello there love of my life. " she sat down, shuffled around in her belt and grabbed out a wrentch and started screwing in cogs and gears, inventing whatever she felt like

Dante was walking through the Black Market looking at some shops and completely passing others. He started thinking to himself I should set up my own shop, it'd help make money so I can pay my work crew what they deserve to get paid, even if it means I don't profit that much from the shop.
He approached his favorite shop in the market. "Hey Kofi, how's business been?"
"Not too good lately Date, come to buy something or just look?"
"Hmm, I did come to just look today, but seeing as business has been slow I'll buy that." He points to a large single man plasma weapon.
"Umm, you sure you want that, it'll set yu back a fair bit of money."
"Money isn't a problem Kofi, and you of all people should know that by now."
"If you say so Dante. You wanna pay all upfront or in increments."
Dante pulls a large roll of money out of his pocket "This enough?" he asks, placing the money on the table.
Kofi begins counting the money "Yeah, that's perfect." He turns around, grabbing the gun and a manual and handing them to Dante
Dante nods his head and says "Thanks Kobi, see you tomorrow." Without waiting for an answer he turns and walks off.

"There, done " Andrea smiled and wiped the sweat off her forehead. She gazed at a odd looking, slightly dilapidated dome-shaped object " My prototype hover is complete, now...." she pushes a button and scooches back a little " to test it" . The contraption started to buzz and whir, then it shook violently as it began to rise off the ground " I...I did it, it's working..." She smile getting wider by the second as the hover rose from one inch to now three. All of a sudden, it begins to rattle violently again and then it explodes, leaving a quick flash and a bang then turning back into nothing but a pile of junk. Andrea's face was black from the smog and ash from the destroyed invention. " *sigh * back to the ol' drawing board "

Kofi sighed "First customer for the day. I used to get at least ten by this time. Used to, but don't anymore. I'm just glad that Dante still comes by and buys stuff from me." He said this to himself more so than anybody else.
He turned away from the street and began polishing his sale items, most of which are weapons. "Some day business will pick up again, but until then I'll have to make do with what I've got."

Steam exited the bathroom door as Andrea came out of the shower with a towel wrapped around her. She yawns and takes off her towel and shakes off the water left over , then grabs some clothes from a small cabniet beside her bed and got dressed, wearing her favorite nightshirt and nightpants and began to brush her hair in the small mirror right above her cabinet. I need money....I'm going to sign up for the next arena match tomorrow, I'll close the shop for half the day tomorrow to train and sign up....o gods, I don't know how I'm going to survive in there.... She glances at the only picture on the wall, on the opposite side of her bed; a family of three..a largely built Dog Keidran man with a moustache with a cheerful little girl wearing a hankercheif as a bandana and having a ditry tanktop and ruffled up jeans with a beautiful slim woman nuzzling at the man's side. Andrea sighs and tears well up a bit oh Dad, what should I do.....

She finishes her brushing and cooks a light supper, then cleans up and heads towards her bed. She flops face down for a bit and then she turns over, staring at the picture once again Dad....Mom....I miss both of you She then turns off the lamp light and goes to sleep.

Ryu yawned, sitting in between Yinshii And Yangli.

"Allright you two, it's time for bed." he said, and through much protest managed to get them situated in bed.

"Hey dad, tell us a story!" Yinshii said.


"Sorry son, maybe not tonight. I've got no stories for you right now." He said, and left them making slight moans, but they knew he wouldn't be able to tell them one.

and in his bed, Ryu was awake, worrying as normal if he'd have enough to buy food for his kids tomorrow. He was already competing twice a week.... should he do it again tomorrow? He eased his mind with an assurance that the problem would be best delt with after a good nights sleep and fell into a troubled and restless slumber.

Dante eventually arrived home "Damn transportation is pathetic at times." He went to the closet at the front door and opened it, putting his newly acquired gun in there. "Looks like I'll be having a gun closet now." he commented before walking off to go to bed.

He dropped into his bed and was asleep in seconds.


Kofi closed up his shop for the day "Four customers, this has got to be a joke. It's just gotta be. I mean, who wouldn't want weapons without any questions or a background check." Then an idea dawned on him "All I have to do to get sales back is to post up flyers and drop my prices a bit." He ran to the back of his store, which is where he his house is, and began making flyers.
Eventually he made one that he liked so he printed it off and decided to put it up tomorrow after he got some sleep, all over the Black Market. "If other people can do this then why can't I."
He then went to bed and slept.

Andrea yawned and wagged her tail a bit, hearing her clock buzz and beep, urging her to wake up I hate mornings....this bed is always so warm in the mornings she thought groggily to herself as she pounded the alarm clock. It was 4:00am, and she never liked getting up that early. She yawned again and took off for the shower with a glazed look in her eye.

Steam rose quickly from the old shower as she undressed and hopped into the shower, as she began washing her fur the thoughts of the upcoming day slowly began rising up in her mind I don't even know where I have to sign up at...this woud be my first time and...gosh I'm terrified. Relax Andrea relax, you've been training for awhile now so you can make it. she breathed a sigh of mixed feelings as she continued to wash her fur and hair

After her shower, she did a few situps, push ups, and crunches, got dressed in her favorite casual clothes; a gray hoodie and jeans , ate a quick breakfast, tied up her shoes and leather gloves and walked downstaris and outside for her morning jog crap, I keep on forgetting that these boots weigh a ton

Kofi awoke from a good night's sleep and yawned. Time to open the store and see what happens today. If business doesn't pick up soon then I'm going to compete in those arena matches for money because I can't keep living like this.
He gets up and goes to his kitchen and begins making himself breakfast.

Dante was up early, training himself to compete in another arena match. Arena tonight, work before hand. He went to his own home gym and begun lifting weights, doing pushups, situps, etc.

Beads of sweat were falling like rain off of Andrea, she began to pant heavily and then stopped for a second damn it's getting hot she took off her hoodie, revealing her tank top and she sighed a breath of relief and continued jogging. A few minutes later, she comes back into the shop and goes quickly back upstairs and wipes the sweat off her. She then quickly got dressed in a dark blue collared shirt, unbuttoning the first few buttons on top to help her cool off, wraps a loose black tie on her neck and gets into some khakai pants and heads back down the stairs to open up the shop.
