"And so, we shall wipe out the foul commoners who point weapons at our families, our children, and declare peace with death raining around them. We shall purge the world from their sins. We shall-" The recording was saying for perhaps the hundredth time since that morning when it was broadcasted across every wavelength.
General Carter tapped the pen in his hand thoughtfully, looking at the reel revolve slowly. Despite all the technological advancements of the United States, they had not been able to trace who had made such a message, only that it had come from overseas somewhere.
"The president has been informed, and demands action. He's currently in Congress presenting the issue. Units will most likely be dispatched to find the source. But that's not what worries me, gentlemen." He said, standing up from the meeting table and looking at who had assembled.
"What worries me is the reports we've received lately ofthe casualties of our forces, which are alarmingly high, as well as the state they were found in." He said, pressing the clicker in his other hand, changing the slide and causing groans of disgust and dismay."
"It's clear that we're not dealing with Insurgents anymore. And it's also clear we can't back away from this issue until it is resolved." He said, casting a serious gaze upon the room.

"Valle! I need to talk to you about something. Step into my office." Said Captain Hendrickson, walking into the barracks and announcing himself, then into his office, which was located in a side room. Valle was the best squad leader in his command, his troops were top-notch, if a little crazy, and he had to recommend somebody. Besides, he would probably welcome a change in pace.
