Trace knows their language and doesn't seem to know it.

Funny how he just appears without queue and states the excruciatingly obvious...and knows everything he needs to know to save the day. I dunno...the fact that he's speaking a language involuntarily without knowing is strangely reminiscent of, not to be corny, parselmouths in the HP universe - though in this case, Basitins do not represent the devil (Though they have given into the temptation of magic, and thus could be said to have refuted the God's).

Dreaming, though losing its probability of being a valid option, still stands as as entirely possible, given the incongruencies.

Or, more likely, when he was the top-honcho Templar, he studied Basitin language and law. He would have had obvious motives to do this. And now when he needs the knowledge, it's coming out. This has happened before. For example , in one of the very early comics, Trace used Flora's name, when he "couldn't have known it". Others can post links to other examples.

Did anyone else notice that when Trace is stating their law, he's getting the red aura of old Trace?

He seems to be slipping into his old self more and more frequently as time goes on.

I understand knowing Basitin laws, but I never did understand(and it's never fully been explained, to my knowledge) how Trace knew Flora's name. He may have been hunting her at the beginning, before his amnesia,but to him she was "just a keidran" so why would he have bothered to learn her name?

it may seem as if the old Trace is merging with the new Trace and the newer Trace still loves Flora.

I cann't help but notice that Trace's appearence slightly changed in the panel where he talks in Bastian. I conclude that Trace knows the language because the memories from his dark self came back once again.

ooooh that is very interesting indeed...but would either reveal 1 of 2 things to everybody else:

1) Natani is a girl
2) Kieth is gay

I think it's more likely natani will be revealed as a girl though, than keith being gay.
