This is a pretty raw idea, i thought up all day yesterday. I dont know if i'll make a chapter 2, maybe if you guys like it.

Chapter 1

“It looks like some kind of map of someplace” A girl said, with bright brown eyes, long black hair with red streaks, and mocha colored skin. The girl was hunched over a chair head leaned forward toward the television, elbows resting on her thighs cradling a purple “GameCube” controller in both palms tapping furiously at the brightly colored buttons, while guiding the control stick with military like precision. She wore a black T-shirt with the words “Invader Zim” printed across the top in white text, She also wore blue jeans, that weren’t too tight, and weren’t too baggy Just the way she liked them.

“Yeah I know, my mom says it doesn’t look like anything on earth” A boy replied wearing a Grey T shirt With a large symbol of three interlocked triangles outlined in black. and a pair of faded blue jeans. He had medium length black hair, and bangs that cover his dark blue eyes. The boy also cradled an object in his hands it was a small slim, white rectangle outfitted with an array of clear plastic buttons, and Led lights.
“What does Mrs. Ferguson think about it Sky?” The girl said with a hint of teasing in her voice, as she stressed the words Mrs And Ferguson.

“Oh, give it a rest already Sydney! She’s just the art teacher, I’m not interested in her in the least!” Sky replied face flushing bright red.

“You might not be interested in her , but you sure are in those breasts!” Sydney Teased, laughing hysterically while grabbing the chest area of her shirt and pulling it outwards. In doing this Sydney absent mindedly dropped her controller and it clattered to the hardwood floor.

“Yes! Captain Falcon wins again!” Sky called out in victory.
“Hey no fair! I dropped my controller!” Sydney whined, whiping tears of laughter from her eyes.
“Well that’s what you get for choosing Pit, Making fun of me aannnnnd, using the gamecube controller instead of the wii-mote.” Sky retorted in a smug tone.

“I don’t understand how you got so good in one week” Sydney muttered. “We only camped out for Super Smash Brothers Brawl last week, Not to mention we got the wii on the same day!”

Sydney was Sky’s best friend they’ve been together as long as Sky can remember. They did everything together from camping trips, to bowling. They had recently come up with the ritual of camping out together for the most anticipated games of the year, they did it for “Halo 3” and now “Super Smash Brothers”

“That’s why They call me Tha Game Masta” Sky replied gloatingly.
“Umm...No one calls you that.” Sydney replied.
And then they both busted out with laughter, until the animatronic beeping of Sky’s watch (a 16th birthday present from Sydney), brought them back to reality.

“Damn, my mom will be home soon, I’m going to head out alright?” Sky said making his way to the door.

“Wait! Take the Wii!” Sydney called.

“No, its your turn, we decided both of us would alternate weeks since we each paid for half, don’t you remember?” Sky asked Sydney, quizzically.

“I know that, stupid. I’m letting you go for two, because I’m feeling generous. Now take it before I change my mind.” Sydney replied smiling.

Sky Grinned “Don’t have to tell me twice, thanks!” He grinned again dark blue eyes sparkling. Sky detached all the wires and components of the console and placed them gently in his school bag. “see you tomorrow!” he called to Sydney, and left.

Sky reached the River Terrace apartment complex around a quarter to five just minutes before his mom was supposed to arrive. It was A large building containing 32 stories, It was situated on third street overlooking a few fast food joints(Most of which he and Sydney frequent quite often). He took the stairs up to 10th story. Sky liked the stairs it helped him think. He thought about a lot of things Mrs. Ferguson, Sydney, but most of all his 16th birthday. It was just yesterday and his mom had missed it. It didn’t upset Sky too much because he did have a great time with Sky, and she did get him that awesome looking watch, and he also understood his mother was a single Parent working three jobs just to feed, house, and clothe him, But he couldn’t help feeling a twang of hurt. “Maybe I should get a job, just so she’ll have more rest” Sky said to himself.

When He reached the 10th floor he took the elevator up to the 22nd floor his, and his mother’s floor Sky reached in his pocket and produced the key ,stuck it in the lock and turned it.

“Ahhh Home sweet Ho-“ Sky stopped in mid sentence, leaned his schoolbag gently to the right side of the door, and took a few slow steps into the apartment. “Something was not right”, Sky thought. He scanned the room, To his left was the open door to the kitchen a small table for two, a sink filled with dirty dishes, a silver refrigerator covered in magnetically suspended Photos, Pictures, Art works, and essay’s all made by him, or related to him in some way.

“Ye olde Shrine of Sky” Sydney would always say whenever she was at his house, about to rifle through the fridge. A manila tiled floor with red kitchen mats, a Door to the pantry, and six closed cabinets built into the wall above the sink. In front of him was the living room White fluffy carpet a White sofa, with an IKEA style long legged lamp standing to the left of the sofa. Other than these few items the room was pretty bare except the 42 inch HDTV facing the sofa, His mothers pride and Joy. To his right was the door to his room plastered in the Cliché “Keep Out!” and “Biohazard!” stickers from when he was ten and thought they were actually “cool”
Sky scanned the rooms again to no avail, he couldn’t find anything wrong, yet he was still certain something was wrong. “I must be going crazy he thought and entered his room. It was a rather small room containing an unmade bed, clothes strewn about the floor like a thousand corpses, a small mohogony colored desk. A closet which was pretty useless to him given the state of his room floor, and walls so covered in magazine cutouts, Drawings, Paintings, and posters that Sky forgot what color the wall paper was. Sky made a big sigh and plopped down on the chair facing the desk and opened up the Black Alienware laptop sitting on the desk.

“I still can’t believe I got one” Sky said running his fingers over the brand new keypad “Sixteen hundred..It took all my accumulated life savings to get this, not to mention the wii I bought with Sydney a weeks ag-“ Sky’s sentence was cut short by a shrill cry from what seemed like right inside his head. Sky toppled backwards landing on his back “what the he-“ Sky froze and stared up in horror as he saw a hulking figure shimmer into view from what seemed like the very air. It had a blue snail like coating oozing from its pores, an elongated head in the shape of a horse two Black slits on the sides of its head that made Sky feel as if he could be sucked into them at any moment, A huge mouth that can only be described as a void, eight long spider like legs four on either side of it, a long bulbous tail like apparatus, that looked very much like a bumble bee’s stinger, and most terrifying of all two pincers, with sharp organic blades curved like scythes. The creature let out a wail followed by several clicks and screeches.

“Oh god, Oh god, Oh god” Sky repeated over and over repeatedly breathing like he just ran four miles without stopping. I cant move sky thought Why the hell cant I move? My legs and arms won’t listen to me at all. Am I going to die like this? Sky thought about all the times he and Sydney would always watch scary movies, and laugh when the characters would stand In terror as the Axe murderer walked closer to them at the speed of a tortoise.

“Move Dumb***!” Sydney would always yell at the screen, and they’d both laugh. “Now I know what it feels like” Sky thought. The Creature let out another set of screeches, clicks, and wails. “Why hasn’t this thing killed me yet?” Sky wondered. “Doesn’t it know I can’t understand whatever the hell it’s trying to say? Or is it just playing with me before it goes in for the kill? Lord knows I’ve got as much fight in me as a poodle.” “A poodle? Ha, Sydney would like that one…but I won’t get to tell her.” Sky thought suddenly re-grasping the situation, and began to panic.

“What do you want!?” Sky yelled at the creature. The creature cocked it’s grotesquely disfigured head to one side and began to screech, click and yell once again. “What the hell I don’t understan-“ But at that moment something awakened inside Sky, It must have been the terror he felt at that moment that triggered it, he would never know but at that moment he understood what the creature said.
The Cartographer” Those two single words resounded in his head in a deep masculine voice like several thousand bells being rung all at once in an attic crawlspace.

“What are you talking about?” Sky asked the creature, or thought he had asked the creature. What had come out of Sky’s mouth was not English, but a serious of clicks, wails, and screeches Not quite as high pitched as the creatures, but still nothing Sky would normally know how to do.
“You speak the Language of my people, I am grateful; For this will be much easier then I have anticipated. Forgive my rude intrusion earlier, for I tried to explain I come in peace, but you did not seem to understand, My people are in great need of your assistance Cartographer, now that you have come of age i-“

Boom! An explosion shook the room Sky felt the searing sparks lick at his face. when the dust cleared all that remained was the creatures dead smoldering corpse. Sky looked up from the corpse, and what he saw made his stomach Churn. it was Sydney holding a spherical object that glowed with an unnatural light.
“What are you- how?” Sky was instantly filled with confusion and questions.
“we have no time!” Sydney said urgently “The others are coming and they don’t care what happens to you! they just want the maps!”
“what-I don’t understand..”Sky said clutching the top of his head with both hands as if it would fall off if he didn’t keep them there. Just then Sky heard boots running up the steps Big, and Heavy. Each step more deliberate, and stronger than the other. he also heard screams, and explosions, that grated at his ear’s.
“That’s them! We have to go out the window!” Sydney Yelled over the noise, firmly gripping Sky’s wrist in a vice.

“Sydney this is the 22nd story!” Sky screamed.

“I know that” Sydney said calmly and in one fluid motion shattered the glass with her fist and flung Sky by his wrist out of the window and down to his death below.
