(( This really is like D&D. Getting a party together is like trying to get post traumatic stess victims to engage in trust exircises))
Gwydion couldn’t pry his eyes away from the map he held.
It was unfortunate actually, if he had been paying more attention to actual landmarks, and less attention to the map, he might not have been so hopelessly lost. As it was, Gwydion was certain that there was a road somewhere in the vicinity, but all the trees looked so similar he couldn’t tell where it might actually be. He wasn’t desperate enough to use a mana crystal to perform a divination either. So for the time being, he had decided that aimless wandering would serve just as well.
It’s not like I’d be able to do anything at the Tomb anyway… Gwydion mused cantankerously. Still, he would have liked to at least have seen the damn thing.
He stopped in mid step suddenly, his left ear pricking up. There was noise in the distance. About 30 or 50 yards away, or so Gwydion estimated, there was some sort of commotion. With his Keidran hearing he could make out words, not only in Keidran or human, but in Bastian also. He blinked in confusion, Keidran, Human, and Bastian together in one place? Unprecedented. He didn’t hear any steel against steel either, so they couldn’t have been fighting. Gwydion rubbed his chin absently, wondering at the unique nature of such a situation. His curiosity getting the better of him, he set out towards the noise.
A few moments passed as Gwydion pushed his way through the dense foliage of the forest, and as he did the voices became more and more distinct. And Heated. Eventually however, He stepped out into a clearing.
He gulped. It was a clearing, from what he could only describe as nervous, and heavily armed people. He glanced around the group nervously, noticing the wide and fearful expressions on some of the members. Oh damn, what have I gotten myself into now? Gwydion thought.
He gave a weak smile, and said <Uhmmm… What exactly is happening here?> In Keidran. Than he repeated it in Bastian as well as he could (Mine Gentlefolk, what hast taken place upon these verdant premises?) and yet again in Human “Happenings what is in location? Yes?” To himself however, only one thing was going through his mind: This is going to end in fire.
He wasn’t to exited about his prediction though, to tell you the truth.
