the year was 2400, it was a cold December 31st; the time was 11:59 exactly. There was a pit of people, in the middle in a man and a giant object covered underneath a giant blanket. The man looked out in the crowd with excitement. He waved his hand to lower the crowds’ excitement so he may tell what he had discovered. He made his 50 second speech to the crowd.
“My fellow people, for so long we have been on the ground and out of control. What I have made here, is a machine; a machine that will twist gravity and control it. Imagine, being able to walk on the walls, or the ceiling. Or how about to fly or be able to control your dog or be able to control the enemy with an ‘iron’ fist” he then stopped and laughed at his joke. The then he sobered up quickly and focused on the main issue. “Now you can, for we had made it so. With this device we can control anything! From pesky noisy dogs to the world. We will activate the machine I have here! Prepare to be amazed and enter into a new era!” the man takes off the cover from the machine. “Come on every body count down from ten. Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one!” as soon as he touched the button it was January 1st as he planed for the New Year’s resolution. The man smiled with excitement seeing a white light.
200 years in the future, everything is destroyed. Some countries are war torn and few are absolutely nothing. There is no sun, only a reddish glowing moon. The world is now under three rules: The 1337 Empire, the men of the improbable, they control the improbable and twist it, if they want to drop a building they will; The Rebels, the men for the probable, they are going against the 1337 to help earth from certain doom; and The Madness, the anarchist of the impossible, they cant control the improbable, however they can use it for their advantage.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Rebels: Basically the "heroes" of the story. Their bases are underground, so underground that only probability exists. They are not in such of a great shape. There are underground farms in order to keep the medicine and food going. There are mines in order to make weaponry, swords to guns. On the surface, the rebels and 1337 are fighting trenched warfare and ruins warfare.
The 1337 empire: Yes, their name is but of the horrible language of leet. However that is not why I chose their name as such. The 1337 are elites compared to the rebels. They can manipulate objects and gravity to what they want to, however they are limited on how they use the objects/gravity; the bigger the object the slower it is to place it somewhere else. And since chaos has pretty much destroyed the fabric of words and the robot (aka the 1337 god of order) only speak in numbers the elite members are called the 1337. Their HQ is a giant Aztec temple where the robot (aka 1337 god of order) rest and uses the fabric of what is left of the world.
The madness: This sick band of anarchists who want nothing more then to have never ending chaos and war. Of course the elites see this as a threat and want to orderfy them. The madness are scattered around the existing world looking for satisfaction and fun. The madness can not control the improbability but they can use it to their advantage, for instance they can run up walls and walk on ceilings, twisting the gravitational pull into individuality rather than having the same rules apply to everyone. Every madness has their own unique power too.
