Since it's a new year and the future starts now and all that jazz. What would your perfect world be? It doesn't matter if it's feasible or not, though something based generally in reality would be nice. To stop flaming... no discussion on them... pm if you must.


Mine is a place where all information is free and accessible and time can be counted as a currency. Where software companies charge only for support. Where instead of paying for a product you can work on it's production or support it.
I know I'm such a dirty hippy.

My perfect world would be one where religion is openly expressed and tolerated; those that believe may show their pride or faith in whatever non-disruptive manner they wish, and tolerate those who believe differently. It's not made an issue. Neither is sexuality; nudity and sex are treated with maturity and are not shunned, but understood to be natural. Propriety in public would of course still be enforced, but no big to-do would be made otherwise. The GLBT community grows up beyond pride parades and whatnot, and the rest of the world accepts us as people and no big deal is made over sexuality. Joe and Bob next door can kiss goodbye on the doorstep without getting complaints.

Other than some usual animal preservation, resource management and general growing-up as a sentient species, I wouldn't change too much. If everything was perfect, then where would the fun in living?

Mine would be more of a change in people then environment, people don't have much foresight and they tend to only think of themselves when they do.

my ideal world is where people can think more than 2 minutes into the future both globally and in more personal situations. This however wouldn't be enough "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" so I think people actually have informed decisions would be a cornerstone to a better world

as Kinuki said it isn't fun if everything is perfect but if we were at least smarter I think earth wouldn't be the crap shack it is today

50% of babies would instantly grow to the size of the Statue of Liberty when born, and thus begin a Godzilla-like rampage.

I would be the supreme dictator of a randomly selected nation. Preferably one on Mars.

Gravity would only exist by the power of our minds.

So would conception. You could think about someone conceiving down the street and they would be pregnant.

So, uh, to the original question of my perfect world...

My perfect world would be on a Moon Base, all to myself, with a treasure hoard of infinitely free MMORPG's, the complete DVD sets to Macgyver, Wolf's Rain, Heroes, and Lost, and the complete works of R.A. Salvatore, Roger Zelazny, Orson Scott Card, Geoge Orwell, J.R.R. Tolkien, Isaac Asimov, and Robert Jordan. And a teleporter to beam random crap I want from Earth.

Sounds good. Mea's too.

'Real' World: A world without humans. Seriously. I'm probably going to get a couple of 'huh?'s over this.

A world perfect for me would be a world where I have infinite power!

And with that power I'd make it a better place and mind control everyone so they act by the law. Because every human doing good is impossible unless you screw with the way they work. What?

Otherwise I'd like a world where they have found portals which lead into anime universes. So I could go visit all anime characters eveyday.

I'm fine with this, so long as nothing replaces us (Because I honestly think not much else could do better without a Tau-like tech advancement).

My perfect world, anyways, is a non-thought. What is perfect for me, others in the world may dislike (Or may damage the multiverse). Even if I thought of something everyone else could tolerate, I'd likely give myself a power-boost and rob the others of that tolerance.

Technocracy- a world ruled by scientists and engineers.

Maybe now we can get some funding.

I would like to have a world where the earth is ruled by ether a hedgemon, supreme dictator, or a council of hairy old people who care for others more then themselves. These people would not be power hungry like all other dictators which is why when I say dictator half of the people reading this think of Hitler. I want a surpreme ruler that actually thinks and cares for the well being of others over himself. He also has to be underground and communicates through a secure line that has an algorithimed fire wall and hidden so that some idiot can't assassinate him. Where all races are equal and given equal opportunities to have a successful career. I want to destroy the hate and racial tension between each and every race.
The school system is reorganized and allows teachers to physically punish students when commiting a wrong doing. Find a way to convert CO2 into energy and produces oxygen. There are plenty of other things, but I would require a large book.

I wish I had a big fluffy tail =^_^= then again... elevators and doors will be my worse enemy...
