This is my most favorite song in the entire world. You have to play Portal really get it, but if you listen carefully you will still love it. This isn't to promote vgcats or anything, it's just the best place to list to it and it comes with a nice little flash video. The actual credits are the best though so play the game and here's the song:http://www.vgcats.com/comics/extras/stillalive.php

Well the creator of the song is pretty awesome. Been a fan of Jonathan Coulton since he popped up on the internets. Isn't the song a bonus for beating the game?

Yeah, it's the song of the end credits and they even have a little story to go with it using the 1960 computer graphics. It is really cool with a good game and a strangely great ending I play portal often and can't wait until the second one. Which brings up another point. I can't wait until the next orange box. Going to be a bit, but I can wait.

That and the fact that you get 5 great games. For 10 dollars each. I play them all the time, especially tf2 (Team Fortress 2).
Where can I listen to this song?

I think all his samples are full songs - but you can find nearly all of em on Youtube - but you can at least find the titles and listen to em on his main site- and of course buy them - http://www.jonathancoulton.com/store/downloads

Go to "Re Your Brains" at least though :P its a good one.

There's going to be a sequel? O.o Sweet! ^.^

I had to laugh SO hard after finishing that game and listening to the song... geez, really quite awesome!
And thanks for pointing out who actually created it.. lacked that certain part of information up to this point. Or well.. better said I was just too lazy to look it up ^^''

I played portal about 6 times now; it's just that good. If you play it with commentary on the creators tell you, it will be coming out with the next orange box. Not to spoil any of you guys, but as far as I know the orange box will contain Half-Life 2: Episode 3-5 portal 2 and previous games and range from 50-80 dollars. Comes out in like 2-3 years.

Eh, I don't think there's going to be an episode 4 or 5. Epsiode 3 is going to come out, but Valve has confirmed working on Half-Life 3, so I don't think they'll stretch out the episodes much further.

Morality/Legality Question...

If you own the game, technically you own the contents of the game, or at least what was placed on your computer, right?

Would this not include the music from the game?

If this is true, then Extracting the Music from the Valve GCF's wouldn't be problematic, right?

For example: If I were to use GCFscape, to extract the Still Alive song from my Portal "Game Content File" and then place it on an MP3 Player... Would I Get in trouble?

-/confused rant-

It should be legal if it isn't. I should think that that would be well within fair use though.
