The little boy.

The boy stood in front of the burning house. He cried his heart out, as not only the house, but the people he loved were burning with it. He was so confused, he was too young and too weak to do anything. He tried to get near but the smoke was overwhelming. Before even coming near the doorstep, he had fainted.

The boy was sent to an orph-an-age. It sounded like the name of some old man. It was in fact a building. His new "home". He was shown his room and was introduced to the place. He hadn't spoken a word since arriving there. During playtime he watched the other children play un till one of theboys approached him. His name was Jack.

"Hey kid..you don't wanna play with us?" The boy looked up at the Jack's face, he had dark blond hair and fair green eyes. "I'll take that silence as a yes, my name's Jack. What's yours?" The boy hesitated, he opened his mouth and finally spoke again, "I don't remember my name..."

Jack looked surprised. "Well that isn't smart! What am I supposed to call you then.." A little girl approached the pair. "Jack, who's this?"
"Ohh hey Lucy. This boy here doesn't remember his name, so I'm thinking of giving him one." Lucy looked at the boy, he had very dark hair and pretty blue eyes. "Jack, I know a name for him, how about..Mirku?"

Jack raised an eyebrow as he looked back at Lucy. "Mirku? Wasn't that the name you picked if you had boy as your first child? Isn't that a little.."
The boy interrupted Jack, "Mirku's fine." Lucy smiled as she pulled the boys over to the rest of the gang and started their game of tag.

It's not much to go on, but I must say I've been waiting for this origin story. Good luck. :)

Why is it that Mirku's two biggest critics posted first? Must be a fluke.

Also, are you going to keep this story in continuity with the other, or go in a slightly different direction?

I'm gone four days, and all these new stories and other things crop up. Yeesh. Okay...
Yay, more new Mirku related stuff^^Can't wait to see how his childhood went. The whole family-dying-horribly-in-a-huge-fire thing is a little cliched, but it works I guess. Can't wait to see what's next, pretty Mirku.

I looking forward to see how this story is going to go.

Hm...I miss the game of tag. Sure it is considered a game for children, but I still miss it.

The Necklace

The years passed by as they grew into best of friends. Jack and Mirku shared a room. It was another afternoon as Mirku sat on his bed with Lucy and Jack.
"I still find it a strange name for an orphanage..Hoop." Mirku complained as Lucy lay back. "I'm bored..Jack, Mirk, can we play hide-and seek?" The boys looked at her and raised their shoulder, "Okay..but you have to start with searching."

"1..2...4..I mean 3...4.." Lucy mumbled in herself as she held her hands in front of her eyes. The boys ran through the hallways, Jack dived beneath a couch as Mirku searched further for a hiding place. This led him to a staircase, 'The attic..that should work..' He climbed the stairs as he coughed, there was a lot of dust in this room.

Mirku saw a big chest, but as he was walking towards it, he could hear something. Feel something. A pulse running through his brain, his instincts telling him to look at it. A necklace, it looked beautiful. In this dusty room it was the only thing that stood out. Mirku picked it up, it felt warm. It made him smile, such a nice feeling it gave him.

He suddenly jumped as he heard a voice. "Found you! But you were found last, Jack here sneezed as I walked by!" Mirku turned around and smiled.
"Hey Mirk, what do you have in your hand?" Jack asked as he saw the necklace. "It's nothing," Mirku replied as he put it around his neck. The warm feeling spread over his body. "Okay Jack, your time to count!"

He didn't know. He didn't know. The little boy didn't know about it.

You seem a little...distracted today, Mirk. Or, maybe it's just my imagination playing games with...itself lol. Anywho, it was great, short, but great. Keep on seeking, Mirk.

Great job so far!

I think things are going to get rather nasty now that Mirku has found the amulet.

Dreams

Mirku carried the necklace everywhere. Jack and Lucy didn't know about it. Then a few days later, when Mirku was changing, Jack saw it hanging around his neck. Mirku explained where he found it.

"I don't know Mirk..it's kinda like stealing..what you did." Jack said as he brushed through his hair. "It was in the attic Jack, if it was that important, it wouldn't just be lying there." Jack stood silent for a moment and sighed. "Okay then..let's just go already and get some breakfast."

Then the dreams started. It starts with complete darkness, then a warm embrace. Silence as a warm sweet scent enters his body. Then an unfamiliar face, a beautiful woman with long light blond hair. She's right next to him, but when she calls out to him it’s like she's far away. Her eyes are crimson red, Mirku gets lost in their beauty. He's suddenly in the attic. Sweat runs down his face, he sees a knife in his hands he sees blood flowing..he sees.. Then he wakes up, covered in sweat. Fear, what was that? What does it mean? Am I able to do that? Am I a monster?

It was near his birthday that it happened. Mirku woke up from the dream again and with that, Jack also woke up. He climbed Mirku's bed and looked in his eyes as they stared at his blanket. His hands grasping the blanket tightly. "Hey Mirk..are you okay? Should I call nurse?"

Mirku turned his head. "It's just a nightmare..I think..I'll be fine." He smiled faintly at jack who sighed and went back to his bed. Mirku lay his head on his pillow and dozed of.

He didn't know. he didn't know. The little boy did not know.

(Sorry for not updating in a while, my connection died XX)

Poor poor Mirku :( ... things are just not going well for him.

I doubt if the nurse could have helped. Though it would have made an interesting scene.

Nurse: So Mirku, tell me. What exaclty is that matter.

Mirku: Well, I have been having dreams recently...

Nurse: Really, what kind? Good dreams? Bad one?

Mirku: I don't know...

Nurse: Well, why don't you tell me about them.

Mirku: ...Ok...I am first alone in the dark.

Nurse: Alright.

Mirku: Then I see a pretty woman calling my name.

Nurse: Really? (leans forward with interest)

Mirku: Yeah. Oh and then I see myself holding a knife with blood everywhere. Do you think that is normal?

Nurse:  ... Oh...of...of ...course. That is...perfectly normal. I am just going to make a few quick calls, alright. I just want other people to look at you ok? (walks off quickly)

Mirku: :?:

I am sorry, Mirku. Your work is abbreviated and moody. I don't enjoy it.
BUT
It has artistic tones and creative ideas. Keep it up.

Happy Birthday

Today was Mirku's birthday. The joy, the fun. It did not last.
He removed his necklace and put it in the drawer next to his bed.
Today he was getting new clothes from the staff. So the necklace might be spotted and questions would be asked.

He was happy with the gifts he received and thanked all who gave him these gifts. After celebrating and eating some pieces of his birthday cake he went upstairs, to check upon his most precious belonging of them all.

What he found angered him, Jack was holding it, watching it, did he ask?
No, he didn't, he wanted it for his own. Mirku stormed at him and pushedhim over and jumped on him, both kicking, punching and grappling at one another un till a clear sound was heard.

The amulet shattered in tiny pieces as the boys stopped fighting. Jack fled the scene and seemed to go to Lucy's room. Mirku crawled to the pieces that were left and looked upon them with a sad face. Un till he heard a voice. Pinned to the floor, a being so beautiful, the being of his dream.

The woman had long silver hair, her eyes, crimson red. The weirdest thing of all were the black feathered wings which were nailed on the floor. The only thing she was wearing was a long black robe. Then she spoke, her voice so kind and inviting, it amazed Mirku. "Child, you have broken the first seal. The moment we met, I knew, I knew we belonged to each other. Would you do me a last favour? If you help me, I will be with you forever and ever, because, it is destiny."

"Yes..tell me, what do I have to do." The woman smiled and her eyes pointed at a small black book in her right hand. "Page 13, you can read it." Mirku opened the page and as his eyes adjusted to the symbols, information flooded his mind. "..I know what to do." He stood up slowly as he walked down stairs, he gently walked through the crowd into the kitchen. He opened the drawer and took the sharpest knife he could find, and went up stairs again.

"And then it suddenly broke..Lucy, you think Mirku will forgive me?" Jack asked in despair. "Mirku will forgive you, you are his best friend after all Jack." Jack looked down and dried his tears. He turned around as he saw Mirku standing in them, his arms behind his back and staring coldly at Jack. Jack approached him and hugged him, "I'm so sorry M-Mirku..I didn't mean to..." Mirku replied coldly, "I'm sorry to Jack." Jack looked down, his blood was warm as it flowed down from the wound in his stomach. The knife hit a vital point, dead was coming any second now. "Mir..wh-y?" Jack fell down on his knees, dead.

Lucy couldn't believe it, she stared at it, shaking, disbelief grasping her mind. No, this can't be. She wet herself as Mirku approached her. She wanted to scream but couldn't, she was frozen with fear. "I'm truly sorry, Lucy." She looked at his face, he was smiling gently. The knife cut her neck over, she almost didn't feel a thing.

He didn't know. he didn't know. The little boy did not know.
He did not know of the mistake he would make.
