If anyone's ever heard of zeropunctuation, it's a very fun, five minute show that gets updated every week on Escapist magazine. I really don't know anything else about the magazine except for this, mainly because I really don't care about reading magazines in the first place.

I like the writer (Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw) mainly because his opinions are refreshing, different, and intelligent, for the most part.

Most of his reviews are here: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/article ... unctuation but you can catch his review of the Darkness Demo and Fable on youtube.

Thats some pretty funny stuff.

The only way I would buy this game is if they lowered it to bargain price, threw in another good game, and offered free cake....and Belgium.

That's easily one of the best commentaries I've seen. EVER. Kudos to you and him. :D

Yeah, this guy is awesome and has a great sense of humor and timing. (Plus pretty good taste in games.)

Not Belgium!
But he has a good view of things and he's damn funny.
Darkness made me pissed as well.
Fable is a lie.

All things considered, I think Fable was an excellent game. It may not have lived up to its original hype, but I bought it far after it came out, so I wasn't expecting a great game. But lo and behold, I really enjoyed it. Seriously, though, nothing so hyped can ever meet the public's expectations.

Fable was a great game, especially since I didn't know it was supposed to be a great game until after I had finished it. But zero punctuation was kind of right. By the end of the game, I did have quite a few houses, wives, and the main battle had me high on industrial grade health potions.

I went through the whole game using my bow (ended up with the bow of Skorm), using the physical shield, heal life, and slow time. The final boss was a little too easy, but the overall gameplay more than made up for it. I never really had any use for heath potions, but I went through mana potions like a madman.

I just spammed axes and heal magic.

Does anyone find the Halo 3 review insulting?

Nah. I love Halo 3 myself, but Yahtzee has never been a fan of console shooters, and he's actually never played Halo 1 or 2.

Ah well. He's still freakin' hilarious.

I'm not saying it actually is insulting. It's a sad truth that most of what he says really is true. It's just more obvious to an outsider. AND YES I WENT THERE.

You did the exact opposite of me. Man I hardly used the bow...
Long Swords and Destructive magic for Meeeeee!
I even got to get that sword out of that stone...it was neato.

Belgium is ok but Ireland would be better.
