Very interesting theory you have here. It makes sense.
Actually it would make sense if there werent so many errors in it - such as never seeing a human slave so we dont know if they exist- we do know they exist as Raine - though lying - said she was a Keidran slave and no one thought that was weird. So you could safely assume there are such things as Humans being used as slaves.
Just because Natani and Flora didnt start an uprising as soon as they met Eric doesnt mean they are for the slave trade, really they are all playing incognito so jumping up and freeing all the slaves is a bad move wouldn't you say?
I dont think they willingly chose to be slaves at all or indentured servants. They are seen as wild beasts that can be tamed and taught. The ones you have met so far have had very friendly owners - and a slave would rather continue being a slave for a good owner if it meant trying to run away would most likely put them at risk of being killed as an escaped slave, or caught again and ending up with a not so nice owner.
Ok, yeah, I see what you mean.
And as insignificantly as this may seem...there was that one guy too, ^_^;

..or just some kid whose "pa" put'em to work.
But you guys are right, they're both at war. The Keidran were probably contraband from disputed lands and such... and since the group does have to be on the quite side around the human towns, that goes with that.
It's a war that buisness owners saw as oppourtunity for profit. ( Is it me, or did that just sound a whole like shindler's list? *movie* )
.....I'm agreeing with you in my entire post..... ( :shock: You have powerful persuasion)
I guess....the whole war thing does explain it....oh well, I thought maybe it was weird or different, but now i think that this makes the most sense.
....* it actually feels like I got served. T_T *
(( PS: Apparently the word "contraband" changed. I mean it in the sense of items captured from the enemy during war time (the keidran) ))
