T-T

After last year, when they got exceedingly mad at me because I took Physics instead of Chemistry, and then making my schedule exceedingly screwy. they decided to pull something WORSE on me this year.

My schedule is supposed to have 6 classes on it, including TV II, which takes up 2 periods. This would put my schedule at a full 7 periods, the standard schedule. Of course, I come back from North Carolina to see that my AP US/VA History class is missing from my schedule, not to mention I have no first period. SO I call the school to sort it out, and get noone. I've called them 3 times each of the last 4 days, and got noone whatsoever. On Tuesday I'mma have to go to Guidance and get my schedule sorted out, and likely my gifted class will be screwy as well.

I hate my school. T-T

I've never had any schedule problems quite that bad, but I am just as irritated with my school. They offered what sounded like a really cool class this year: Forensic science. Sounds right up my alley, so of course I decided to take it. Big mistake. They've got one of the freaking football coaches teaching the class, because they need an excuse to keep him around, thus we have one of the most unprepared, monotone, and sheerly idiotic teachers I've ever had to deal with. >_<

Y'all think that's bad? My school hasn't even started yet, because the teachers in the whole district are on strike. We were supposed to start this last thursday, and schools still gonna be canceled tomorrow, maybe longer.I've got a nice, easy schedual for my senior year, and I've been looking forward to this year for twelve friggin' years! Grawr!

I remember in high school, I took a class similar to that. It was called Biotechnical Engineering and was taught by the Bio teacher. We did some really cool stuff- fingerprint analysis, blood splatter patterns, DNA de/recomposition, GMO's- lots of fun stuff. But your class sound really boring.

But after spending a little time in college, I've learned this about classes- Calculus is a tool of the devil designed to confuse and infuriate all students. If you can get it out of the way in high school, DO IT.

Hear Hear! Says the college vet . . . .or you could be unlucky enough to come along when they ADD even more math---so you wind up taking both calc and sadistics (statistics) in college--from a gentleman still learning the english language

Oh, I'm a chemical engineer. I'll be taking the nightmare quantum calc courses, very little of which I will ever use. I'm in the upper level calc 101 (called 106, which means one semester here), so I get a crash course in "HOLY ****, what the hell?!" of college. Did I mention I have an Indian professor and an Chinese SI? Neither of them speak great Engrish.

Wow...that's pretty messed up...
O.o
I've never seen a case where a school had so much power over one's schedule - it seems as if you have an enemy there...

Hey - where in NC were you?

It figures, the one person posting here who *wants* to go to school, can't.

Yeah, I read DMFA. I think, in fact, that you introduced me to it, Robbie. In some random post, a few weeks ago. It is one of the best comics I've ever read...aside from Inverloch and 2kinds, of course. And, some of the most huggably adorable characters....in the history.....of ever. Particularily fond of Jyrras, Dan, and Able. Why is it that the male characters are the cutest ones in the comic? Anyway, that's enough of me for now, I think.

Neat!

Anyway, I got it swapped, so now I'm in a smart class. I'm okay now with my schedule.

...so of course my backpack breaks today. DX

I'm surprised my backpack hasn't broken. I've had it for six years, and it feels like my pre-calculus book is wearing a hole in the bottom. >_>
