Mario Party.

Pokemon (GB)

Final Fantasy is getting there, but not quite yet.

Any game past 9 in their series. I mean, really, I can't even keep count of how many mario parties they have spewed out. MP was awesome up to 2.

The Sims! Of all the games in the world The Sims deserves it the most to be banished into the fiery pits of hell.

Medal of Honor? I've never played any of them but I'm constantly seeing new ones.

A lot of games from EA. It's one of the reasons I dislike them. They take games and series and suck them dry until no one wants to see them again.

After this version I also think they should stop making pokémon on portable systems.. I mean, the pokémon are starting to repeat themself..
Mario Party is dead to me by now. Final fantasy will go down after it hits number 15, just a guess. Sims died to me as well, no more expansions and stuff!

Sonic games are wearing out.. Zelda has pressure on it since it tries to improve every time, so they'll screw up eventually, and the serie will die.

That just what I think..

Silent Hill. It was good at first, but the last 2 didn't appeal to me.

Dynasty Warriors...GODD***IT THEY JUST WON'T DIE!

Need For Speed:Just for the fact that if they added the NFS franchise with the Burnout frachise they would have one helluva game.

Medal of Honor:The first one and Frontline were good but Vanguard sucked balls as did most of the others in the series...After Airbourne which looks decent they too must die.

Madden:Though i love you madden series you too must be buried sometime, though it won't be anytime soon.

Extreme Tokyo Racing: or whatever it's called...YOUR GAMES SUCK!!!ALL 6 or 12 or HOW EVER MANY YOU HAVE LET IT DIE!!!

and of course...the Sonic series:All your games suck now...i had high hope for the one on the 360 but you too dissapointed me so...BURN M-F'r

Final Fantasy should have died after six. Resident Evil should have gone after three. Sports game... Why do they even exist? There's just too many series that should be placed in a landfill and paved over with cement.

Dynasty Warriors or any other Koei series.

Gundam games (though Mobile Ops does look pretty neat).

Megaman games (they're all the same freakin' thing!)

Sonic games; just look at the crap they're spewing out now.

People have listed alot of the good ones already, but I'll go ahead and shamelessly repeat things.

Then there would be no seven or ten.

Hmm. I agree on Pokemon, though the repetition is mostly the fanbase's fault. When Nintendo tried to be unique, most of the fanbase shot it down for not being a "real" pokemon game. HOLY FREAKING CRAP.

When the game repeats to the point where you can skip all the dialogue, and know to get the x-based starter pokemon, go through the quick road where you'll fight some other weakling pokemon, to the next town where you get your ten pokeballs, and then know you'll probably be able to capture pokemon from ten years ago and that there'll be yet another hundred new ones, without even starting the game...

There's something wrong with that.

Final Fantasy has done a surprisingly good job of continuing without stale. It's seen a good long life, and I doubt it'll end anytime soon, either.

MechAssault. I know, Lone Wolf lovers are going to eat me, but c'mon. It's absolutely nothing like original battletech, which is awesomely cool. Javelin missiles? WTF? LRM 20's>your newfangled gadgetry.

Book and movie knock-off games in general, except for Star Wars and a few LOTR's. Granted, there were a few that were totally horrible (Masters of Teras Kasi anyone?) But you can't argue with KOTOR II. And personally, seeing all the shelves line up with Incredibles, Shrek, and Eragon games makes me wanna puke. I got Eragon for Christmas and it sucks. It's like The Two Towers game with any semblance of life, creativity, customization or originality ripped out.

Onimusha...just stop...you were fun for a while...you're not anymore...

I dun wanna say anything else should die just yet, so this is enough for now.

As MeaCulpa says, any movie tie-in game. Seriously dudes - they am not bestest gamez.

Saying the Final Fantasy series should die is a bit harsh. I mean, each game is generally very different than the last, including in story, characters and setting (although there are exceptions; FFX-2 anyone?). And saying it should have died after 6 is bordering on herecy; what about 7, surely?

I hate seven. It's easy, the story is lame, and the characters are lame.

Final Fantasy 1, quest to balance the world.
Final Fantasy 2, evil empire.
Final Fantasy 3, quest to balance the world.
Final Fantasy 4, evil empire.
Final Fantasy 5, quest to balance the world.
Final Fantasy 6, evil empire.
Final Fantasy 7, evil man who looks like a woman who is uber emo because he's not a real boy.
Final Fantasy 8, evil empire.
Final Fantasy 9, evil man pretending to be a woman who wants to destroy the world.
Final Fantasy 10, evil beast who roams the world.
Final Fantasy 12, evil empire.

Woooow. So different. Really, it's quite amazing. I've said it before, Final Fantasy is THE worst RPG series in existence. People buy Final Fantasy because Final Fantasy is in the title. That's the only reason people bought Final Fantasy Adventures (Sword of Mana) and Final Fantasy Legend 1-3 (SaGa series).

as much as i like to argue with you about that i understand that some people just plain hate good games. for example i want the zelda series to die in a fiery cataclysm.

Huwl! Final Fantasy VII was the first game I got into as a boy; don't trod on my inner child.

And your list was nothing but generalisation - I could apply a similar method to any kind of game in existence, RPG or not. In fact, what you've basically done is list each Final Fantasy game in order and then slapped a deliberately vague 'this is the antagonist' title beside each. I'm sorry, but I'm still not convinced.

And the sarcasm is simply not needed.

Megaman games are still fun even if they are similar. Any and all sports games are exactly the same. madden would be more accurately called EA roster update 0*. They aren't even that great. most series go on too far. instead of arguing about games that should stop, I'd rather argue about games that should keep going. but thats not what this topic is about. its just that inner need for breakdown 2 yelling out.
