Okay, let's face it, Elder Scrolls series in general is amazing. I have all four (No, seriously, I have Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, AND Oblivion.) and I love 'em all. Daggerfall has a great skill system (And the dungeons are awesome as well). Morrowind is still the best for its insane replay value though. Oblivion was good for a while, but once you beat the main quest you got bored as heck. At least I did.

And dungeons after level 20...*Shudder*

Morrowind is just...amazing. I love it lots. It's probably my favorite RPG in a looong time, despite Oblivion's better graphics and stuff. I played Morrowind for at least three or four years, and it was the beginning for alot of my roleplay ideas and characters.

Daggerfall is pretty good. Very, very massive, which means I don't run out of places to visit, but...the main problem is that everything tends to blend together. All the cities start looking the same, as do the crypts and dungeons...until you find a map that shows you a secret dungeon! Those dungeons are almost always super-huge, like a massive labyrinth you can spend days in, it's amazing! I spent five hours in one dungeon once. It had about ten floors and each one had at least eight or nine centaur, bandit, skeleton or imp filled rooms. Words cannot describe how the dungeon delver in me felt. I think I cried tears of joy on multiple occasions.

And then, finally, Arena. Arena is nice because it's very simple, no complicated stuff, it's a good MIG*, you know? Also, being able to go to all of Tamriel is a definite plus, since I haven't seen that in any other Elder Scrolls game.

However, sound doesn't seem to work with evil old DOS-box...

I need an old computer to play all my old games. =\

*Mindless Idiot Game

Anyways, discuss Elder Scrolls here.

Ah yes, Elder Scrolls.

I still love breaking the game by using absurd potions in Morrowind (Which I assume you know how to do?).

God bless the equivilant of Constant-Effect Restore 1,000,000 Health per second.

For some reason, though, I wish you could have JOINED Dagoth Ur.

Well, I never played Arena or Daggerfall, but I own Morrowind for the PC and Oblivion for the 360. I agree about Oblivion. It looked all nice and shiny, it had a good storyline, but you run out of things to do when you beat the main storyline. But I did manage to get 50/50 achievements unlocked. That took a while...

Morrowind......I don't know. My PC at the time wasn't very good, so I never got the full experience. I was always lagging, and I couldn't have the graphics high at all. I could install it on my new laptop, but the first impression I got from it kind of sealed it for me. I did still enjoy it, I played it for several weeks, in fact. It's just that one can only go so long on a game with such a crappy PC.

I do so dearly love Morrowind, it's got such spectacular style and lets you do so much wandering around. It's nice to play a game that you don't just follow along with what the developers wanted you to see, but actually can wander a world. My only complaint was the terrible directions that would involve you wandering around for forty-five minutes trying to find something, then, inevitably, when you gave up and started to walk back to the city, you'd crest a hill and there was your original objective, right there.

The way characters moved around (I mean the day to day routines) in Oblivion gave a much better feeling of them being real people with real lives than before; I just wish the difficulty didn't scale up as fast as it does. It's nice to always have a challenge, but it'd also be nice to be able to let my guard down, just a little, when I'm wandering around the wilderness.

You know what's really awesome about getting Oblivion on PC? Mods.

Seriously. Oblivion Extended is pretty amazing. You can assassinate the Emperor yourself, or so I've heard. Haven't tried it though...Palace Guards are scawy.

I'm wondering how high a level I can be before the dungeons start getting easier...
