looks nice, except it would have been cool if they had a little red alert style movie window to show the cities actually being vaporized, subs creeping through the water, etc, but thats asking a bit much for a small dev team

i am definitely going to complete my collection. I already have uplink and darwinia. What i missed in the first 2 games of them is multiplayer support, Defcon seems to become their first multiplayer-game.

One interesting thing, both old games don't have any sort of copy-protection, Uplink only has some kind of code-table which you need when creating a new player "account". Introversion seems not to be criminalizing their customers.

UPDATE: Introversion has started the first Beta-testing. (no i'm not a tester. i missed it)

Huh, I think I might check this out.
Oh, and from the interview that Squeekum provided I now have a new word for my vocabulary - effusive. ^_^

I have the game. It's cool. If anyone else has it I'd be happy to play a game sometime.

Fweeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I got the demo of this from Steam, and I am definitely going to buy it when I get a little cash this weekend. It's an awesome concept and very well executed.

Introversion is one of those game developers that makes you think, "this is how games should be made."

EDIT: I JUST bought this. I'm going to play with some bots and get in some practice, and then I may play online a bit. ^_^

Any idea how I am supposed to be able to play against the AI? The tutorial is nice, but I don't have a clue how to enable the bots.
This game is really great, the only thing I have to wait for is the Box.

BTW: I think I will keep my habit of buying games from Introversion. Can't remember where I ever bought that many games in a row. (well, the "CnC TfD" Box and the "Tycoon Collection".

Edit: doh why did I never see the "Add AI player" button?

Me and my friends over on www.n00bstories.com play it ALL THE TIME. non stop.

i am simply in love with this game seeing as the movie Wargames [ in which this game was based off] is one of my favorite movies of all time.

At long last, I've got 2 thing I've watied a long time for.

1) a Wireless home network

2) But more importantly... DEFCON!

Man the computer kicks my [censored] at this all the time. Heck, the last game I played as North America and my entire Pacific Fleet was blown away before I reached Defcon 1!
