So I just saw it and must say,
I'm glad I saw it, but it was less than satisfactory.
(The Sniper died, and i was emo through the whole movie.)

But it was still intense, still had those shaky camera angels that the first one had.

What do you all think about it?

I went to see this this film last night. I really enjoyed 28-days later, but this new film is not a patch on the original.

There's very little plot and what there is is full of holes. ([rant]Not that that stopped the guy behind me giving a running cometary to his wife[/rant] ). The characters were one dimensional caricatures, with little appeal, and not ones you had any feeling for. The sniper was one exception. I think they missed out on a good chance to flesh out his character more, and make him more central.

It was, perhaps, trying to say some bigger things about how poorly we, as a society, would cope with such a situation (the US military don't come out in a good light, BTW), but the way it was filmed was just boring. there no better word for it.

Two couples left mid film (which is unusual here in the UK in my experience).

So, go see this film if you like exploding bodies, lots of blood and total carnage, as that's really all there is to it, but it would be better to wait until it appears on TV, one late night. Then, after bottle or two of wine, it might actually appear funny.

But i totally agree it seemed like the movie wanted to show off its bigger budget and the rest of the movie seemed slapped together like any other zombie movie.
And yes, WAY too many holes to count [WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD]:
1.What happened to the command center and general stone? were they over-run?
2.How did there chopper crash?
3.How the hell did the Rage Virus get to france [Yes the kid was a carrier, but unless he bled on somebody or spit on them or something that couldn't have happened]
4. Will there be a number 3?
5. why did "Tammy" remind me of Emma Wattson?

First off... Darkshire, there are other skins so white font doesn't work. My skin, for example, is blueish.

I really enjoyed the first and was excited about this one. While it wasn't exactly like the first it was still a really great movie and I actually felt for the kids. My biggest gripe wasn't about the movie but was because some dick decided he should bring his wife and one or two year old kid to the movie and the little jerk talked and whined the whole time.

Wow, where to start...I know it's not technically a zombie movie since it's a disease but it beats all zombie movies I've seen. Went to see it with my younger sister and a few friends the night it came out, great movie. The sad part is I haven't seen 28 Day Later yet, though I'm renting it soon as I have the time, don't know how I ever overlooked it but I'd highly recommend this movie if you're into the horror/scifi genre.

Luca: I hate when folks bring kids to movies like that, and people who talk make it that much worse. Someones cell phone went off when I went, no idea how they missed those oh 20 somethin messages before the movie saying "Please silence your cell phones"...stupid people. Hope things go better next time around, could always try bringing it up to someone in the lobby but I normally find that the folks at the theater here do little, and I miss part of the movie cause I went to the lobby.

For opening nights my movie theater has started telling all the children that adults come to enjoy the movie and that they'll remove anyone under the age of 18 who starts talking and making noise a lot (unless they're accompanied by an adult anyways). =D

The first one was great. It wasn't all about how much blood and guts they could put on the screen. The scariest part was when he went into the church, said "hello" and those two guys just flipped around and stared at him. Of course the "hack the guy up with a machete" scene was pretty gruesome.
