Well, what would be simplest for Natani to do is simply go back to the inn and ask flora/trace for a couple coins or something. However, being how she is, She is most likely to do something embarrassing in the process - most likely embarrassing for keith.

Ah Natani got denied, oh well hopefully she doesn't get into any trouble, though it wouldn't be surprising.

What did she expecting? This are men bath. If she want keep her secret a secret she must endure the downside. Personnatly, I would think that Natani had by itself a secret desire to avoid public bath like plague.

I agree with Catherine_Puce, if Natani wants to keep her gender a secret, she should avoid the public baths at all costs, and i dont know why she was so supprised.

Though i think its more subconsious - she wants to stay with Keith, and may want to know who this girl is, and (becase she saw the spell-hollow gram of her), may susspect its his old girlfriend. *Plays theme song to "Threes Company"*

My bet: she goes in anyway, and pays for a private bath behind/next to Keiths.

I guess I see why Natani would be frustrated...he'd be willing to pay the extra coins for the private bath, perhaps, but this means he can't take a bath at all, pretty much ever. Keith is following the law, of course, and I'd expect no less of him, but Natani probably feels betrayed by him and her body. It's frustrating to be held back from what you want to be by something you have no control over.

Something looks weird about Natani in the fourth panel, is my instinctive reaction when looking at it. Maybe the head is too big for the body? Or something. If you're looking for artistic criticism, that is, Tom.

In the last panel Natani is clearly miffed, but not at Keith. She seems to mentally shift gears slightly, mid curse, so as to be ambiguous as to which Basitin she is really cursing - Keith, General, etc.

I wonder if Keith sees Natani as male for female. I know he'll keep her secret, but does he consider her a he or a she when he thinks and talk to her directly? I cannot find a page that proves it one way or the other.

Access denied because of boobs! Seriously, if Natani would have been a guy (ar far as I know her situation is not like Mikes) she would be so gay. She definently thinks more of Keith then he does.

I can so identify with how Natani is feeling right now. Transgender people face this type of 'middleground' problem all of the time, where they are not accepted by either "side" and have to just kind of stand in the middle or off to the side somewhere by themselves, out of the way. *sigh*

It also looks like Tom is going to take his sweet time in revealing this 'new' female character that Keith is supposed to meet up with. ;)

Her situation is the almost exact reverse of Mike's. She really has a female body, but want's to be male.

Natani seem quite at easy with her female side, at least when she's with Keith. However we already know she's more worried about being outed as a girl than hiding her female side (i.e gay side from a male perspective).


I'm not so sure. Is she attracted to Keith because he knows her secret and thus is more relaxed with him? And Keith might well be seeing her as a he still and he's quite a loner anyway. They are clearly friends, but this does not mean either are romantically attracted to each other (tail aside)

However, if Keith can accept her as a gay male it means he has to accept he's gay too for there to be any romantic coupling. There is no sign that Keith would accept this. So they are friends, not lovers.

I do think there is some sexually attraction, but not in a gay context. What's interesting is the pressure this puts on Natani. Will this eventually force Natani to reconsider herself and her gender dysphoria. Will she want to be female for Keith.

It's probably not of any importance but we don't really know whether Natani knows about the girl or not. Keith and Lynn were speaking Basitin after all but then again Keith doesn't really have any reason not to tell her about the girl. Meh, I dunno.

Wow, Natani seems to really want to be in the bath with Keith... hmm... xD
